Premiering on Tuesday, March 31, is the HBO Sports documentary The Scheme directed by Pat Kondelis about Christian Dawkins who was convicted in federal court in the biggest criminal case in collegiate sports history. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Bensi &  Saunder Jurriaans (Boy Erased, The Gift, Ozark, Enemy, Fear the Walking Dead). Premiering on Thursday, April 2, is the new CBS comedy Broke created by Alex Herschlag and starring Jaime Camil, Pauley Perrette, Natasha Leggero, Izzy Diaz and Antonio Raul Corbo. Frank Ciampi (Happy Together, All About the Washingtons) is composing the show’s original music. The CBS Television Studitos production centers on a single suburban mother who’s shocked when her estranged sister and her husband and his fiercely loyal assistant/driver/friend land on her doorstep in need of a place to live after the couple’s money dries up. ‘Hunter’s Moon’ Soundtrack Released

Air-Edel Records has released a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Hunter’s Moon. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alexander Taylor (Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street, FML). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Hunter’s Moon is directed by Michael Caissie and stars Thomas Jane, Katrina Bowden, Jay Mohr, Sean Patrick Flanery and Amanda Wyss. Jeff Beal Scoring Bonni Cohen’s & Jon Shenk’s Netflix Documentary ‘Athlete A’

Jeff Beal has composed the original music for the upcoming Netflix documentary Athlete A. The film is directed by Bonni Cohen & Jon Shenk (The Rape of Europa, Audrie & Daisy) and explores Larry Nassar’s systematic abuse of young women on the USA Gymnastics team. The movie follows the team of investigative journalists from The Indianapolis Star  newspaper who exposed the abuse led by Steve Berta, Marisa Kwiatkowski, Mark Alesia, and Tim Evans. Serin Marshall, Jen Sey and Julie Parker Benello are producing the project. Beal (House of Cards, Rome, Monk, Carnivale, Pollock, The Biggest Little Farm) has previously scored Cohen’s & Shenk’s last feature An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power. Opening on VOD today is the historical drama Resistance written and directed by Jonathan Jakubowicz and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Ed Harris, Clémence Poésy, Matthias Schweighöfer, Félix Moati, Géza Rohrig, Karl Markovics, Vica Kerekes, Bella Ramsey and Edgar Ramírez. The film’s original music is composed by Angelo Milli (Seven Pounds, Hands of Stone, Bravetown). Filmtrax has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening on VOD today is the sci-fi thriller Vivarium directed by Lorcan Finnegan and starring Jesse Eisenberg, Imogen Poots, Jonathan Aris, Senan Jennings and Eanna Hardwicke. Kristian Eidnes Andersen (Antichrist, Ida, The Man Who Saved the World) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced. The movie, which revolves around a couple’s search for a dream home that plunges them into a terrifying nightmare after they are trapped in a mysterious, labyrinth-like neighborhood of identical houses, is being released by Saban Films. Rupert Parkes (aka Photek) has recently scored the upcoming Netflix original film The Main Event. The movie is directed by Jay Karas (Break Point) and stars Seth Carr, Tichina Arnold, Adam Pally, Ken Marino, as well as WWE superstars Kofi Kingston, Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, Sheamus, and Babatunde Aiyegbusi. The family comedy centers on a young WWE fan possessing special powers from a magical mask who causes chaos when he enters a wrestling competition and fights an intimidating rival. Varese Sarabande has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1978 comedy thriller The Big Fix directed by Jeremy Kagan and starring Richard Dreyfuss, Susan Anspach, Bonnie Bedelia, John Lithgow and F. Murray Abraham. The album features the original music from the Universal Pictures release  composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Bill Conti (Rocky, The Right Stuff, The Karate Kid, For Your Eyes Only, The Thomas Crown Affair, Masters of the Universe), including unused and alternate cues. The CD, which is limited to 1,500 copies, is now available to order in the label’s online store, where you can also check out audio clips and learn more about the release. ‘U.S. Marshals’ – The Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Album Announced

Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD club series, including a deluxe edition soundtrack for the 1998 action thriller U.S. Marshals directed by Stuart Baird and starring Tommy Lee Jones, Robert Downey Jr., Joe Pantoliano, Daniel Roebuck, Tom Wood, and LaTanya Richardson. The album features the expanded original score from the Warner Bros. Pictures production composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Chinatown, Planet of the Apes, The Mummy, Basic Instinct), including over 45 minutes of previously unreleased music. The CD, which is limited to 3,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and order the soundtrack.
