Premiering tomorrow, May 25, is the National Geographic limited series Barkskins created by Elwood Reid and starring David Thewlis, Marcia Gay Harden, Aneurin Barnard, James Bloor, Christian Cooke, David Wilmot, Thomas M. Wright, Tallulah Haddon, Kaniehtiio Horn, Lily Sullivan and Zahn McClarnon. The show’s original music is composed by Colin Stetson (Hereditary, Color Out of Space, The First). Also premiering tomorrow is the History docu-series Grant directed by Malcolm Venville and executive produced by Ron Chernow, Jennifer Davisson and Leonardo DiCaprio. Jacob Shea (Planet Earth II, Seven Worlds One Planet, Blue Planet II) has composed the show’s original music, which is produced by Russell Emanuel for Bleeding Fingers Music. The 3-parter examines Grant’s life story using his perspective and experiences to explore a turbulent time in history: the Civil War and Reconstruction.
