Composer Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, 300, John Wick, Dawn of the Dead, Watchmen) will release his original soundtrack for the Netflix docu-series FightWorld. The album features the show’s original music by Bates who recorded his score at Capitol Studios in Hollywood with an all-star group of Los Angeles’ best musicians who improvised all of the music while reacting to picture. Lin-Manuel Miranda has confirmed in an interview on today’s Good Morning America that he has been working on the music for a new animated feature from Walt Disney Animation Studios. The movie, which has the working title Encanto according to The Disinsider will be directed by Byron Howard (Tangled, Bolt) and Jared Bush (Zootopia). The animated musical will take place in Colombia and revolves around a young girl and her family. Charise Castro Smith serves as a co-director on the project. JB Dunckel (K.O., Capital in the Twenty-First Century, The Summer of Sangaile, Cyprien) of AIR has composed the film’s original music.
