The Alienist: Angel of Darkness stars Daniel Brühl, Luke Evans, Dakota Fanning, Douglas Smith, Matthew Shear, Robert Ray Wisdom, Ted Levine, Melanie Field and Rosy McEwen. ‘Perry Mason’ Chapter 5 Soundtrack Released

The fifth soundtrack album for the HBO original series Perry Mason has been released. The album features the original music from the fifth episode of the drama composed by Academy Award nominee Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansman, Inside Man, Malcolm X, Red Tails, 25th Hour). The soundtrack is being released by WaterTower Music and is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released the composer’s music from Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 and will release a full soundtrack album following the season finale next month. Perry Mason developed by Ron Fitzgerald & Rolin Jones and starring Matthew Rhys, Juliet Rylance, Tatiana Maslany, Shea Whigham, John Lithgow, Chris Chalk, Stephen Root and Robert Patrick currently airs every Sunday night on HBO. The show’s original music is composed by Leo Birenberg & Zach Robinson (Cobra Kai, Impractical Jokers: The Movie, F*&% the Prom). Premiering on Friday, July 24, is the Netflix original film The Kissing Booth 2 directed by Vince Marcello and starring Joey King, Joel Courtney, Jacob Elordi, Meganne Young, Carson White, Taylor Perez, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Molly Ringwald. Patrick Kirst (Inherit the Viper, Grace Stirs Up Success) who previously scored the 2018 original film has composed the film’s original music. The show is the third installment in Guillermo del Toro’s Tales of Arcadia saga and features the voices of Emile Hirsch, Lexi Medrano, Steven Yeun, Charlie Saxton, Lena Headey, David Bradley, Clancy Brown, Fred Tatasciore, Diego Luna, Mark Hamill, and Kelsey Grammer who are reprising their roles from the previous installments. They are joined by new cast members Alfred Molina, Stephanie Beatriz, James Faulkner and John Rhys Davies. The series follows Merlin’s apprentice as he joins Arcadia’s heroes on a time-bending adventure in Camelot, where conflict is brewing between the human, troll and magical worlds. Opening on VOD today is the British/Australian drama Dirt Music directed by Gregor Jordan and starring Kelly Macdonald, Garrett Hedlund and David Wenham. The film’s original score is composed by Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Incredible Hulk, Romeo + Juliet, The Great Gatsby, Love Actually). No word on a soundtrack release. Frederik Wiedmann (The Dragon Prince, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Field of Lost Shoes, Hangman, Doom: Annihilation) has been hired to score the upcoming sci-fi sequel Occupation: Rainfall. The film is written and directed by Luke Sparke (Red Billabong) who previously helmed 2018’s original Occupation movie and stars Temuera Morrison, Dan Ewing, Ken Jeong, Daniel Gillies, Aaron Jeffery, Zac Garred, Izzy Stephens, Trystan Go, Lawrence Makoare, Vince Colosimo and Tamala Shelton. Hildur Guðnadóttir (Joker, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Mary Magdalene) won her first BAFTA TV Craft Award today for her music for the HBO/Sky limited series Chernobyl written and executive produced by Craig Mazin, directed by Johan Renck and starring Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgård and Emily Watson.
