Notefornote Music will release a soundtrack album for the HBO documentary The Bronx, USA. The album features the original song Da Bronx written by Charles Fox with lyrics by Paul Williams and performed by Robert Klein and Donald Webber Jr. The track was one of the fifteen shortlisted original songs at this year’s Academy Awards. Also included are tracks by the movie’s composers Nathan East, John Robinson and Tom Scott, as well as well as other songs from the film. The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 31, 2020 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Bronx, USA is directed by Danny Gold and follows producer George Shapiro as he returns to his hometown of the Bronx and reflects on the singularity of the borough he grew up in and the close friendships he made there that have stood the test of time. La-La Land Records has announced the details of the new soundtrack album for the 1970 western Two Mules for Sister Sara directed by Don Siegel and starring Clint Eastwood and Shirley MacLaine. The album, which is being released as the ninth title of the label’s and Universal Pictures’s Film Music Heritage Collection, features the the film’s original music composed by Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West, Cinema Paradiso, The Mission, The Hateful Eight). The 2-CD set features the the full film score (released for the first time), including material that went unused in the picture and 37 minutes of previously unreleased music on the first disc and a newly remastered version of the 1970 Kapp/MCA soundtrack album on the second disc.
