Walt Disney Records to Release Two Soundtrack Albums for Pixar’s ‘Soul’

Walt Disney Records will release two soundtracks for Pixar’s animated feature Soul, including an album featuring the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winners Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Watchmen, Gone Girl, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Mank), as well as a separate album featuring the jazz compositions and arrangements by Jon Batiste who is best known for being the bandleader on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and also served as a cultural consultant for the movie. Air-Edel Records has announced a soundtrack EP for the British drama Hope Gap. The 6-track EP features the film’s original music composed by Golden Globe nominee Alex Heffes (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, The Last King of Scotland, Queen of Katwe, Roots, Touching the Void, 11.21.63) ). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 6 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. The movie is the sequel to 2016’s A Street Cat Named Bob (scored by David Hirschfelder) and follows James Bowen as he looks back at the last Christmas he and Bob spent scraping a living on the streets and how Bob helped him through one of his toughest times.
