Opening in theaters nationwide today is the fantasy action adventure Monster Hunter written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and stars Milla Jovovich, Tony Jaa, Tip ‘T.I.’ Harris, Diego Boneta, Meagan Good, Jin Au-Yeung, Josh Helman and Ron Perlman. The film’s original music is composed by Paul Haslinger (UnderworldHalt and Catch Fire, The Three MusketeersResident Evil: The Final Chapter, Death Race, Crank). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this month. Also opening wide is the thriller Fatale directed by Deon Taylor and starring Hilary Swank, Michael Ealy, Mike Colter, Danny Pino and Tyrin Turner. Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean:Dead Men Tell No Tales, Disturbia, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Christopher Robin) has composed the film’s original music. ‘Breach’ Soundtrack Album Released

Fourteen Kings Music has released a soundtrack album for the sci-fi thriller Breach. The album features the film’s original score composed by Scott Glasgow  (The Gene Generation, Hatchet III, Hack!Chasing Ghosts, The Ninth Passenger). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon & Apple Music/iTunes and will be added to other digital music services within the next few days. Breach is directed by John Suits and stars Bruce Willis, Cody Kearsley, Rachel Nichols and Thomas Jane. The movie follows a junior mechanic aboard an interstellar ark to New Earth who must outwit a malevolent cosmic terror intent on using the spaceship as a weapon. Read the rest of this entry »

Sony Classical has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC Earth docu-series A Perfect Planet. The album features the show’s original music composed by Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, The Young Victoria, Still Alice, Layer Cake, Shaun the Sheep Movie, Coriolanus) and performed by the London Metropolitan Orchestra and SinfoniaNord. The soundtrack will be released on January 8, 2021 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first single will be coming out on January 1. Walt Disney Records has released the digital soundtrack album for Pixar’s animated feature Soul. The album features both the film’s original score composed by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social NetworkWatchmen, Gone Girl, Mank), as well as the original jazz compositions and arrangements by Jon Batiste. Also included are the songs Rappin Ced performed by Daveed Diggs, Parting Ways performed by Cody ChesnuTT, as well as Batiste’s cover of the Curtis Mayfield classic It’s All Right. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here. As announced last week, the label is also releasing two separate vinyl editions featuring Reznor’s & Ross’ score and Batiste’s jazz music today. The 2-track digital single features the original score from the special composed by Michael Kramer (Ninjago, Lego Star Wars: Freemaker Adventures, Valley of Bones), as well as the Life Day song Joh Blastoh produced & arranged by Kramer, featuring lyrics by Leland Chee and performed by Omar Mille, Kelly Marie Tran & Billy Dee Williams. The album features selections of the original score from the final four episodes of the second season (Chapters 13-16) of the Lucasfilm production composed by Academy Award, Emmy Award and Grammy Award winner Ludwig Goransson (Black PantherTenetCreed, Venom, Community). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring highlights from the composer’s music from Chapters 9-12, as well as eight albums featuring his score from the first eight episodes. Walt Disney Records has released a new soundtrack album for the 2010 sci-fi movie TRON: Legacy directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Garrett Hedlund, Jeff Bridges, Olivia Wilde, Bruce Boxleitner, James Frain, Beau Garrett and Michael Sheen. The album features the film’s original music by Daft Punk, including the 22 tracks from the original soundtrack album, as well as all bonus tracks from the vinyl edition and the various digital special editions, some of which were only available for a limited time.
