WaterTower Music will release a new soundtrack album for Patty Jenkins’ superhero movie Wonder Woman 1984, The album features eleven sketches written for the film by Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Inception, The Dark Knight, Gladiator, Interstellar, Pirates of the Caribbean, Man of Steel). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 5 and will be available to stream/download here. The label has previously released the original soundtrack album for the sequel in December. Wonder Woman 1984 starring Gal Gadot, Kristen Wiig, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Pedro Pascal and Connie Nielsen follows the title character as she is facing two all-new foes: Max Lord and The Cheetah. BAFTA Awards Original Score Longlist Announced

bafta1The British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) today revealed the longlists for the EE British Academy Film Awards in 2021. For this year’s Film Awards, a new longlisting initial round was introduced, resulting in three rounds of voting. Round One voting, which took place from January 12-26, produced the longlists in all categories announced today. Every category in this round was voted on by a craft chapter, opt-in chapter or jury, with the exception of Best Film which was voted for by all film voting members. The details of the fourth soundtrack album for Marvel Studios’ Disney+ series WandaVision have been revealed. The albums feature the original score from the fourth episode of the show composed by Christophe Beck (Ant-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Frozen, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover, The Peanuts Movie, Buffy the Vampire Slayer). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 5 by Marvel Music/Hollywood Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music store. The composer’s score from the first three episodes, as well as Kristen Anderson-Lopez’s & Robert Lopez’s theme songs have previously been released last month. WandaVision is created by Jac Schaeffer based on the Marvel Comics characters, directed by Matt Shakman and stars Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany,  Kat Dennings, Kathryn Hahn, Teyonah Parris and Randall Park. A soundtrack album has been released for the Australian drama Measure for Measure. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tristan Dewey & Tai Jordan (Pawno, Twentysomething). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon or any other digital music store. Measure for Measure is co-written and directed by Paul Ireland and stars Hugo Weaving, Daniel Henshall, Harrison Gilbertson, Mark Leonard Winter and Doris Younane. The movie is inspired by Shakespeare’s play of the same title and tells the love story between a young immigrant Muslim girl and a young musician, set against Melbourne’s notorious commission flats, where a world of crime, drugs, and racial disharmony reign. John Debney has composed the original score for the upcoming romantic comedy Marry Me. The film is directed by Kat Coiro (And While We Were Here, Life Happens) and stars Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, Maluma, John Bradley, Chloe Coleman and Sarah Silverman. The movie centers on the relationship between a musical superstar and a math teacher – two total strangers who agree to marry and then get to know each other. Volker Bertelmann (aka Hauschka) (The Old Guard, Ammonite, Adrift, The Art of Racing in the Rain, Patrick Melrose) has been hired to score the upcoming thriller Monkey Man. The film marks the directorial debut of actor Dev Patel who also stars in the movie, which is set in modern day India and follows a recently-released ex-felon who struggles to adjust to a world of corporate greed and eroding spiritual values. Composer Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Disturbia, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil) is reuniting with director Deon Taylor on the upcoming horror thriller Don’t Fear. The film starring Joseph Sikora, Andrew Bachelor, Anne Ilonzeh, Iddo Goldber, Ruby Modine, Jessica Allain & T.I. takes place a year into living through a worldwide pandemic and follows a group of friends gathered in the remote Tahoe Mountains to stay at the “Historic Strawberry Lodge” who are pushed to the brink of survival as the truth about the historic lodge slowly unravels in front of them. Taylor co-wrote the screenplay with John Ferry and is also producing the Hidden Empire Film Group production with Roxanne Avent Taylor (Supremacy, Meet the Blacks) and Omar Joseph.
