Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is DC Studios’ superhero movie Superman written and directed by James Gunn and starring David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Skyler Gisondo, Isabela Merced, Nathan Fillion, Anthony Carrigan, Edi Gathegi and María Gabriela de Faría. The film’s original music is composed by John Murphy (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, 28 Days Later, Sunshine, The Suicide Squad) & David Fleming (Mr. & Mrs. Smith, The Last of Us, Damsel, Jim Henson: Idea Man). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as two songs this past Tuesday. Opening in semi-wide in a couple of hundred theaters this weekend is the horror movie Abraham’s Boys: A Dracula Story written and directed by Natasha Kermani and starring Titus Welliver, Jocelin Donahue, Judah Mackey, Aurora Perrineau and Brady Hepner. Brittany Allen (What Keeps You Alive, Z, Torn Hearts, American Horror Stories, Scrambled) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release.
