Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Young Sherlock Holmes, Rescuers Down Under) is currently recording his score for the upcoming Fox comedy drama Orville. The show is created by Seth MacFarlane (Ted, Family Guy, A Million Ways to Die in the West, American Dad) who also stars in the series alongside Adrianne Palicki, Mark Jackson, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, J Lee, Halston Sage and Penny Johnson. The series is set 300 years in the future and tells the story of the Orville, a not-so-top-of-the-line exploratory ship in Earth’s interstellar fleet.

Spike TV’s ‘The Mist’ TV Series to Feature Music by Giona Ostinelli
Giona Ostinelli is composing the music for the upcoming Spike TV event series The Mist. The show is based on the Stephen King novella and stars Morgan Spector, Alyssa Sutherland, Gus Birney, Danica Curcic, Okezie Morro, Luke Cosgrove, Darren Pettie, Russell Posner, Dan Butler, Isiah Washington, Jr. and Frances Conroy. The series centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world and, in some cases, each other. Christian Torpe and Amanda Segel are executive producing the project, alongside TWC-Dimension Television’s Bob Weinstein, Harvey Weinstein and David Glasser.

Premiering on Friday, April 14, is the Netflix original movie Sandy Wexler directed by Steven Brill and starring Adam Sandler, Jennifer Hudson, Terry Crews, Arsenio Hall, Kevin James and Rob Schneider. Rupert Gregson-Williams (Hacksaw Ridge, The Legend of Tarzan, Wonder Woman) has composed the film’s original score. ‘Empire’ Season 3 Soundtrack Details
Columbia Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Fox hit drama Empire. The album a selection of the songs from the show’s third season by cast members including Terrence Howard (Lucious Lyon), Jussie Smollett (Jamal Lyon) and Bryshere Gray a.k.a. Yazz (Hakeem Lyon), as well as Serayah, Mariah Carey, Rumor Willis & more. The soundtrack will be released on April 28, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released three soundtrack albums featuring the songs from the first two seasons. Empire is created by Lee Daniels & Danny Strong and follows the head of a music empire whose three sons and ex-wife all battle for his throne.
Antonio Sanchez to Score Epix’s ‘Get Shorty’ TV Series
Antonio Sanchez is scoring the upcoming Epix original series Get Shorty. The show is created by Davey Holmes (Shameless) inspired by Elmore Leonard’s 1990 bestselling thriller comedy novel and stars Chris O’Dowd, Ray Romano, Sean Bridgers, Megan Stevenson, Goya Robles, Lucy Walters, Sarah Stiles, Antwone Tanner and Carolyn Dodd. The series follows a hitman from Nevada who tries to become a movie producer in Hollywood as a means to leave his criminal past behind.
Julian Wass Scoring HBO’s ‘Room 104’
Julian Wass has been tapped to score the upcoming HBO original series Room 104. The show is created by Mark & Jay Duplass (Cyrus, Jeff Who Lives at Home). The anthology series tells a different story of a group of assorted characters who pass through the room of an average American hotel in each episode. The Duplass brothers are also executive producing the comedy with Xan Aranda (Blue Jay). Wass has previously collaborated with the filmmakers on the features The Do-Deca Pentathlon, which they directed, and The Overnight & Blue Jay, which they produced.
Netflix’s ‘Anne’ to Feature Music by Ari Posner & Amin Bhatia
Ari Posner and Amin Bhatia are composing the original score for the upcoming Netflix original series Anne. The show is created by Moira Walley-Beckett (Breaking Bad, Flesh and Bone) based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel Anne of Green Gables and stars Amybeth McNulty, Geraldine James, R.H. Thomson, Lucas Jade Zumann, Dalila Bela, Corinne Koslo and Aymeric Jett Montaz. The drama centers on a young orphaned girl in the late 1890s who, after an abusive childhood spent in orphanages and the homes of strangers, mistakenly is sent to live with an aging sister and brother.
Soundtrack for Amazon’s ‘Bosch’ Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the first soundtrack album for the Amazon original series Bosch. The album features selections from the show’s original music from all three seasons composed by Jesse Voccia (A Haunted House 2, The Big C). Also included is the drama’s main titles song Can’t Let Go performed by Caught A Ghost. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 21, 2017 and physically on May 5. Bosch is created by Michael Connelly and stars Titus Welliver as LAPD homicide detective Hieronymus “Harry Bosch”, alongside Jamie Hector, Amy Aquino, Lance Reddick, Annie Wersching, Sarah Clarke and Jason Gedrick.

Premiering today is the mini-series The Kennedys – After Camelot starring Katie Holmes, Matthew Perry, Alexander Siddig, Kristen Hager, Brett Donahue, Diana Hardcastle and Kristin Booth. The 2-parter’s original music is composed by Jamie Forsyth (Bones). The drama is the sequel to the 2011 mini-series The Kennedys, which was co-scored by Sean Callery, and centers on the life of the former First Lady of the United States, Jacqueline Kennedy in the aftermath of the assassination of her husband. A soundtrack album has been released for the CBS drama Limitless. The album features the selections from the show’s original music composed by Paul Leonard-Morgan (Dredd, MI-5, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D, The Numbers Station) who received an Emmy Award nomination for his work on the project and also scored the 2011 feature the series is based on. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Limitless is developed by Craig Sweeny and stars Jake McDorman, Jennifer Carpenter & Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. The drama, which follows Brian Sinclair as he discovers the power of the mysterious drug NZT and is coerced into using his newfound drug-enhanced abilities to solve weekly cases for the FBI, aired between 2015 and 2016 on CBS.
