Island Records will release the original song Was It Love? from the new Sky Atlantic mini-series Riviera. The track is performed by Florence + the Machine’s Isabella Summers featuring Lena. The song will be released as a digital single tomorrow, June 16 and will be available to download on Amazon. Riviera is created by Neil Jordan (The Crying Game, Interview with the Vampire) and stars Julia Stiles, Lena Olin, Iwan Rheon, Adrian Lester, Anthony LaPaglia, Phil Davis, Dimitri Leonidas, Roxane Duran, Amr Waked and Igal Naor. The show is set on France’s Cote d’Azur and centers on a young, recently married woman whose blissful life is torn apart when her billionaire husband is murdered in a yacht explosion.

Disney XD Debuts ‘DuckTales’ Reboot Main Titles
Disney XD has premiered the main titles for the upcoming reboot of the animated series DuckTales. The titles sequence features a new version of the title song from the classic series written by Mark C. Mueller. The track is performed by singer/songwriter Felicia Barton and produced by Emmy-winning Michael ‘Smidi’ Smith and the show’s composer Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, Free Birds, Money Monster, Rough Night). The song will be released by Walt Disney Records on Friday, June 23. DuckTales is developed by Marc Youngberg and features the voices of David Tennant, Bobby Moynihan, Ben Schwartz, Danny Pudi, Kate Micucci, Toks Olagundoye, Beck Bennett, Tony Anselmo and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Netflix’s ‘Disjointed’ to Feature Music by Joseph LoDuca
Joseph LoDuca is scoring the upcoming Netflix original series Disjointed. The show is created by Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Mom) & David Javerbaum (The Daily Show) and stars Kathy Bates, Dougie Baldwin, Elizabeth Ho, Elizabeth Alderfer, Aaron Moten and Tone Bell. The comedy revolves around a lifelong advocate for pot legalization, as she finally lives her dream as the owner of an Los Angeles cannabis dispensary and as she employs her newly graduated son and a team of young “budtenders” to help run the company.
‘Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey’ Soundtrack CDs Announced
Intrada Records has announced the world premiere CD release of the soundtrack albums for the Fox docu-series Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey executive produced by Seth MacFarlane, Ann Druyan, Mitchell Cannold & Brannon Braga and hosted by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. The albums feature the show’s original music composed and conducted by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Cast Away, The Avengers, Captain America: The First Avenger), including bonus tracks that were not featured on the digital soundtrack release, which came out back in 2014. The Vol. 1 soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s website, where you can also check out the full album details and listen to audio samples.
CBS’ ‘9JKL’ to Feature Music by Gabriel Mann
Gabriel Mann is set to compose the original score for the upcoming CBS comedy 9JKL. The show is created by Dana Klein (Friends with Better Lives) & Mark Feuerstein who also stars in the series alongside Linda Lavin, Elliott Gould, David Walton, Liza Lapira and Matt Murray. The comedy is inspired by Feuerstein’s adult life when he lived in apartment 9K in the building he grew up in, sandwiched between his doting parents’ apartment, 9J, and his brother, sister-in-law and their baby’s apartment. Feuerstein is also executive producing the CBS Television production with Pamela Fryman (How I Met Your Mother), Aaron Kaplan (The Mysteries of Laura, Divorce, American Housewife), Dana Honor and Wendi Trilling.

Premiering tomorrow, June 12, is the Showtime docu-series The Putin Interviews directed by Oliver Stone who, alongside his longtime documentary producer Fernando Sulichin, interviewed the Russian president Vladimir Putin more than a dozen times over the course of two years for the project. Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Rome, Pollock, Monk, Carnivale, Appaloosa, Ugly Betty) has composed the original music for the 4-parter. Varese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from the show. Michael Andrews Scoring Netflix’s ‘Friends from College’
Michael Andrews is composing the score for the upcoming Netflix originals series Friends from College. The show is created by Nick Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek) & Francesca Delbanco and stars Keegan-Michael Key, Cobie Smulders, Annie Parisse, Nat Faxon, Fred Savage and Jae Suh Park. The comedy centers on a group of friends who went to Harvard together and are now facing down their forties and experiencing a range of success, or lack thereof, both professionally and domestically. Stoller directed all episodes of the show’s first season and is also executive producing the project with Delbanco.
Dominic Lewis to Score ‘DuckTales’ Reboot
Dominic Lewis has been tapped to score Disney’s upcoming animated series DuckTales. The show is developed by Marc Youngberg based on the classic 80s cartoon and features the voice talent of David Tennant, Bobby Moynihan, Ben Schwartz, Danny Pudi, Kate Micucci, Toks Olagundoye, Beck Bennett, Tony Anselmo and Lin-Manuel Miranda. The series follows the adventures of millionaire Scrooge McDuck and his nephews, as they travel around the world in search of treasure and wealth. Youngberg is also executive producing the project. Ron Jones has scored all episodes of the original TV series, which premiered in 1987.

WaterTower Music has released a new soundtrack for the HBO original series The Leftovers. The EP features five tracks of the original music from the show’s third and final season composed by Max Richter (Waltz with Bashir, Taboo, Guerrilla, Miss Sloane, Disconnect). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released soundtracks for the first and second season of the drama. The Leftovers is created by Damon Lindelof & Tom Perrotta and stars Justin Theroux, Carrie Coon, Amy Brenneman and Christopher Eccleston.
