Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi drama series Travelers. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Adam Lastiwka. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, January 5, 2018. The download link will be added to this article later this week. Travelers is created by Brad Wright and stars Eric McCormack, MacKenzie Porter, Nesta Cooper, Jared Abrahamson, Reilly Dolman and Patrick Gilmore. The drama follows a federal agent who tracks four people who suddenly seem to possess entirely new personalities, leading to a startling discovery about humanity’s future.

Weekly TV Music Roundup (December 31, 2017)
Premiering on Wednesday, January 3, is the new Freeform original series Grown-ish created by Kenya Barris & Larry Wilmore and starring Yara Shahidi, Deon Cole, Chris Parnell, Emily Arlook, Trevor Jackson, Francia Raisa and Jordan Buhat. The show’s original music is composed by Vincent Jones (Up All Night, Parks & Recreation theme song, F Is for Family). Premiering on Friday, January 5, in the U.S. is the horror thriller Before I Wake co-written and directed by Mike Flanagan and starring Kate Bosworth, Thomas Jane, Annabeth Gish, Dash Mihok and Jacob Tremblay. The Newton Brothers (Oculus, Ouija: Origin of Evil, Life of Crime, Gerald’s Game) have composed the film’s original score and Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman, Alice in Wonderland) has provided the themes and additional music. ‘McMafia’ Main Title Theme Released
Decca Records has released the main title theme for the new BBC & AMC limited series McMafia. The track is written by the show’s composers Tom Hodge and Franz Kirmann and is performed by the London Contemporary Orchestra. The theme has been released overseas as a digital single, which also features the composers’ track He’s Home, and is now available to download in the British iTunes store. McMafia is created by Hossein Amini (Drive) & James Watkins (The Woman in Black) and stars James Norton, Aleksey Serebryakov, Maria Shukshina, Faye Marsay and Juliet Rylance. The 8-part drama is inspired by Misha Glenny’s best-selling book of the same name and tells the story of Alex Godman, the English-raised son of Russian exiles with a mafia history, and his family.
Alex Somer’s & Sigur Rós’ Music from ‘Black Mirror’ Episode ‘Hang the DJ’ to Be Released
A soundtrack album will be released for the Black Mirror episode Hang the DJ. The album features the original music from the episode composed by Alex Somers (Captain Fantastic, Aloha, Manhattan). Also included are two tracks by Sigur Rós. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 30 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Hang the DJ is directed by Timothy Van Patten and stars Georgina Campbell, Joe Cole and George Blagden. The episode written by Charlie Brooker centers on a new dating app that hits the scene, but insists that singles need to meet before 12 hours and will premiere tomorrow as part of the show’s fourth season on Netflix.
Daniel Pemberton’s Score from ‘Black Mirror’ Episode ‘USS Callister’ to Be Released
A soundtrack album will be released for the Black Mirror episode USS Callister. The album features the music from the first episode of the show’s fourth season composed by Daniel Pemberton (Steve Jobs, Molly’s Game, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., All the Money in the World, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 29 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. USS Callister is directed by Toby Haynes and stars Jesse Plemons, Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson, Michaela Coel and Billy Magnussen. The episode written by Charlie Brooker & William Bridges follows a captain and his trusty crew as they explore the galaxy and the dangers of unknown alien planets and will premiere as part of Black Mirror‘s new season, which will premiere tomorrow on Neflix.
Guillaume Roussel Tapped as New Composer for Audience Network’s ‘Ice’
Guillaume Roussel is the new composer of the AT&T Audience Network original series Ice. The composer is scoring the second season of the show created by Robert Munic (Fighting, The Cleaner) and starring Cam Gigandet, Jeremy Sisto, Ray Winstone, Audrey Marie Anderson, Judith Shekoni, Jocelyn Hudon, Ashley Thomas, Laura Vandervoort, Amy Madigan and D.B. Sweeney The crime drama produced by Entertainment One (eOne) follows the Green family as they plunge into the underbelly of the Los Angeles diamond trade.
Cezary Skubiszewski to Score Amazon’s ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’
Cezary Skubiszewski has been hired to score the upcoming Amazon original mini-series Picnic at Hanging Rock. The show is based on Joan Lindsay’s Australian novel and stars Natalie Dormer, Lily Sullivan, Madeleine Madden, Samara Weaving, Ruby Rees and Inez Curroas. The 6-parter revolves around the mysterious disappearances of three schoolgirls and one teacher on Valentine’s Day 1900 and the subsequent investigation. Jo Porter and Anthony Ellis are executive producing the FremantleMedia International production with Penny Win (A Place to Call Home, Wentworth Prison).
Jake Monaco Scoring Hulu’s ‘All Night’
Jake Monaco is scoring the upcoming comedy series All Night. The show is created by Jason Ubaldi and stars Chris Avila, Brec Bassinger, Chanel Celaya, Ty Doran, Teala Dunn, Allie Grant, Caleb Ray, Eva Gutowski, Tetona Jackson, Gus Kamp, Tom Maden, Jenn McAllister, Austin North, Tequan Richmond, Chester Rushing, Jake Short, Chance Sutton, Noureen DeWulf, Kate Flannery and Dawan Owens. The series centers on a group of teens at an overnight, lock-in graduation party, at which the new grads will do whatever it takes to make their remaining high school dreams come true.

Premiering on Friday, December 29, is the new season of the sci-fi anthology series Black Mirror created by Charlie Brooker. Episodes of the fourth season include USS Callister (featuring music by Daniel Pemberton), Arkangel directed by Jodie Foster (scored by Mark Isham), Crocodile directed by John Hillcoat (featuring music by Atticus Ross, Leopold Ross & Claudia Sarne) and Black Museum (scored by Cristobal Tapia de Veer). The full season will be available to stream on Friday on Netflix.
Showtime’s ‘The Chi’ to Feature Music by Patrick Warren
Patrick Warren is composing the original score for the new Showtime original series The Chi. The show is created by Lena Waithe (Dear White People) and stars Jason Mitchell, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Jacob Latimore, Alex Hibbert, Yolonda Ross, Tiffany Boone and Armando Riesco. The coming-of-age drama is set on the South Side of Chicago and follows a group of residents who become linked by coincidence. Waithe is also executive producing the project with Common, Aaron Kaplan (Life in Pieces, Divorce), Elwood Reid (The Bridge) and Rick Famuyiwa (Dope, The Wood) who also directed the pilot episode.
