Columbia Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Dear White People. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Kris Bowers (For the People, Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me, Monsters and Men). Also included are songs by DeJ Loaf, Tyler, The Creator, Zebra Katz, Ashley Blaine Featherson, Marc E. Bassy, BROCKHAMPTON, Namesake & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 4 and will be available to download on Amazon. The label has previously released a soundtrack album featuring the music from the series’ first season.

Soundtrack Album for YouTube Red’s ‘Cobra Kai’ to Be Released
Madison Gate Records will release a soundtrack album for the YouTube Red original series Cobra Kai. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Zach Robinson and Leo Birenberg (Son of Zorn, Red Army, Big Time in Hollywood, FL, F*&% the Prom). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 4 and will be available to download on Amazon. La-La Land Records will release a CD version featuring additional tracks later this month. Cobra Kai is developed by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg and stars Ralph Macchio, William Zabka,Xolo Mariduena, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Courtney Henggeler and Nichole Brown.
Will Blair & Brooke Blair Scoring The CW’s ‘In the Dark’
Will Blair and Brooke Blair have been tapped to score the CW pilot In the Dark. The show is created by Corinne Kingsbury and stars Perry Mattfeld, Brooke Markham, Keston John and Austin Nichols. The drama follows a flawed and irreverent blind woman who is the only “witness” to the murder of her drug-dealing friend and sets out with her dog to find the killer. Kingsbury is also executive producing the project with Ben Stiller (Tropic Thunder, Zoolander), Jackie Cohn and Nicky Weinstock (Alex Strangelove).
HBO’s ‘Being Serena’ to Feature Music by Miles Hankins
Miles Hankins has composed the original score for the new HBO docu-series Being Serena. The 5-parter centers on Serena Williams, one of the greatest tennis players in history, as she faces new challenges in motherhood, marriage and regaining her supremacy on the court. Mark Shapiro, Michael Antinoro and Will Staeger are executive producing the HBO Sports and IMG production. Hankins’ previous scoring credits include the comedy The Night Before (which he co-scored with Marco Beltrami), Len and Company and the animated series Lego Elves.

Christophe Beck (Frozen, Ant-Man, The Hangover, Edge of Tomorrow, The Muppets) has composed the film’s original music. Soundtrack Album for USA’s ‘The Sinner’ to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the USA original series The Sinner. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s first season composed by Ronit Kirchman. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 11, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Sinner is created by Derek Simonds and stars Jessica Biel, Bill Pullman and Christopher Abbott. The show’s first season is based on the novel of the same title by Petra Hammesfahr and follows a young mother who, when overcome by an inexplicable fit of rage, commits a startling act of violence and to her horror has no idea why.
Brian Tyler to Score Paramount Network’s ‘Yellowstone’
Brian Tyler has been tapped to score the upcoming Paramount Network original series Yellowstone. The show is created by Taylor Sheridan (Wind River, Sicario, Hell or High Water) and stars Kevin Costner, Wes Bentley, Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser, Dave Annable, Danny Huston, Gil Birmingham, Jefferson White, Gretchen Mol, Jill Hennessey, Patrick St. Esprit, Ian Bohen and Denim Richards. The drama revolves around the violent world of the Dutton family, owners of the largest ranch in the United States.
Rael Jones to Score Channel 4’s ‘Hang Ups’
Rael Jones has been tapped to score the upcoming Channel 4 series Hang Ups. The show is created by Stephen Mangan & Robert Delamere based on Showtime’s Web Therapy and stars Mangan himself, David Tennant, Charles Dance, Richard E. Grant, Jessica Hynes, Katherine Parkinson, Karl Theobald, Arsher Ali, Celia Imrie and Paul Ritter. The comedy centers on a therapist with a chequered professional career who finds himself at a crossroads in life.
Ben Onono Scoring Netflix’s ‘Safe’
Ben Onono (Paranoid, Half a Yellow Sun, Trust Me) is scoring the new Netflix original series Safe. The show is created by Harlan Coben and written by Danny Brocklehurst (Ordinary Lies, The Driver, Shameless) and stars Michael C. Hall, Amanda Abbington, Marc Warren, Hannah Arterton, Audrey Fleurot and Nigel Lindsay. The thriller follows a widower who begins uncovering the dark secrets of the people closest to him after his daughter goes missing.

Premiering tonight is the National Geographic television special Symphony for Our World. Bleeding Fingers Music’s Austin Fray & Andrew Christie have composed the project’s original music and have also collaborated with the rock band X Ambassadors on several tracks. Premiering on Thursday, April 26, is the third season of the ABC drama Quantico created by Joshua Safran and starring Priyanka Chopra, Jake McLaughlin, Johanna Braddy, Russell Tovey, Alan Powell, Marlee Matlin and Blair Underwood. Clinton Shorter (District 9, Contraband, 2 Guns, The Expanse, Pompeii, Colony) is composing the original music of the third season and follows Joel J.
