ABC Studios has released the title song In the Mix from the new ABC comedy Mixed-ish. The track is written and performed by Mariah Carey and produced by herself and Daniel Moore. The song is now available to stream and download as a digital single on Amazon. Also check out the official music video after the jump. Mixed-ish is created by Peter Saji & Kenya Barris and stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tika Sumpter, Christina Anthony, Arica Himmel, Ethan William Childress, Mykal-Michelle Harris and Gary Cole. The Black-ish spin-off will premiere this coming Tuesday, September 24 on ABC.

NBC’s ‘Sunnyside’ to Feature Original Score by Siddhartha Khosla
Siddhartha Khosla is composing the original score for the new NBC comedy Sunnyside. The show is created by Matt Murray & Kal Penn who also stars in the series, alongside Kiran Deol, Moses Storm, Diana Maria Riva, Samba Schutte, Poppy Liu and Joel Kim Booster. The comedy centers on a former New York city councilman who finds his calling when faced with immigrants in need of his help and in search of the American Dream.
Soundtrack Album for ‘Transparent’ Musical Series Finale to Be Released
Decca Gold will release a soundtrack album for the series finale of the Amazon original series Transparent. The album features the songs from the two-hour movie musical written by Faith Soloway and performed by cast members including Amy Landecker, Gaby Hoffmann, Jay Duplass, Judith Light, Erik Liberman, Jo Lampert, Lesli Margherita, Shakina Nayfack, Alexandra Billings, Kathryn Hahn & others. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 27 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version is set to come out on November 15 and is available to order here. Transparent Musicale Finale directed by show creator Jill Soloway (and scored by Dustin O’Halloran & Bryan Senti) will premiere on September 27 exclusively on Amazon Prime.
WAZ-Jackson Scoring NBC’s ‘Bluff City Law’
The composing duo of WAZ-Jackson (Cougar Town, Surviving Jack, Life Sentence) is scoring the new NBC drama Bluff City Law. The show is created by Dean Georgaris (The Manchurian Candidate, The Meg, The Brave) and stars Jimmy Smits, Caitlin McGee, Scott Shepherd, Barry Sloane, Michael Luwoye, MaameYaa Boafo, Stony Blyden and Jayne Atkinson. The series follows a group of lawyers at an elite Memphis law firm who specialize in controversial landmark civil rights cases.
Hailee Steinfeld’s Song ‘Afterlife’ from Apple TV+ Series ‘Dickinson’ Released
Republic Records has released the song Afterlife performed by Hailee Steinfeld from the upcoming Apple TV+ original series Dickinson. The track is written by Stargate, Kennedi Lyken & KOZ and is now available to stream and download as a digital single on Amazon. Also listen to the full song after the jump. Dickinson is created by Alena Smith and stars Steinfeld in the title role, alongside Jane Krakowski, Toby Huss, Anna Baryshnikov, Ella Hunt and Adrian Enscoe. The show centers on the 1800s poet Emily Dickinson and explores the constraints of society, gender, and family from the perspective of a writer who doesn’t fit in to her own time through her imaginative point of view.
Orchestral Version of ‘Friends’ Theme Song ‘I’ll Be There For You’ Released
WaterTower Music has released an orchestral version of the theme song I’ll Be There For You from the hit NBC comedy Friends. The new version of the song (which was originally written by show creators David Crane & Marta Kauffman, Michael Skloff & Allee Willis and The Rembrandts’ Phil Sōlem and Danny Wilde) is produced by Giles Martin, orchestrated and arranged by James Seymour Brett and performed by the London Metropolitan Orchestra. Philip Glass & Paul Leonard-Morgan Scoring Amazon’s ‘Tales from the Loop’
Philip Glass (The Hours, Notes on a Scandal, Naqoyqatsi) and Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Wormwood) are teaming up to score the upcoming Amazon original series Tales from the Loop. The sci-fi drama based is developed by Nathaniel Halpern (Legion) based on the art of Simon Stålenhag. Rebecca Hall has been cast as the female lead of the show, which explores the town and people who live above “The Loop,” a machine built to unlock and explore the mysteries of the universe – making things possible that were previously relegated only to science fiction. Halpern is also executive producing Fox 21 Television Studios production with Mark Romanek (Never Let Me Go, One Hour Photo), Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes, Cloverfield), Adam Kassan and Rafi Crohn (The Passage), Mattias Montero, Samantha Taylor Pickett, Adam Berg and Stålenhag.
Jeff Russo Scoring Apple TV+’s ‘For All Mankind’
Jeff Russo is composing the original music for the upcoming Apple TV+ original series For All Mankind. The show is created by Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica, Outlander), Matt Wolpert & Ben Nedivi and stars Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, Wrenn Schmidt, Shantel VanSanten, Sarah Jones and Jodi Balfour. The sci-fi drama is told through the lives of NASA astronauts, engineers and their families and presents an aspirational world where NASA and the space program remained a priority and a focal point of our hopes and dreams.
Joey Newman Scoring CBS’ ‘All Rise’
Joey Newman (The Middle, The Mysteries of Laura, Any Day Now) has been tapped to score the new CBS drama All Rise. The show is created by Greg Spottiswood (King, Remedy) and stars Simone Missick, Wilson Bethel, Marg Helgenberger, Jessica Camacho, J. Alex Brinson, Lindsay Mendez and Ruthie Ann Miles. The courthouse series follows the lives of a group of judges, prosecutors, and public defenders, as they work with bailiffs, clerks, and cops to get justice for the people of Los Angeles amidst a flawed legal process.

Premiering tonight is the documentary Country Music directed and produced by Ken Burns. Legacy Recordings has released a soundtrack album in two different versions featuring a selection of the songs from the movie by artists such as the Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, Randy Travis & others. Premiering on Thursday, September 19, is the comedy First Wives Club developed by Tracy Oliver based on the 1996 movie of the same title and starring Ryan Michelle Bathe, Jill Scott and Michelle Buteau. Chris Alan Lee (Younger, No Good Nick) is composing the show’s original score.
