The film is directed by Isaac Florentine (Ninja) and stars Antonio Banderas, Karl Urban, Cristina Serafini, Atanas Srebrev, Paz Vega, Robert Forster, Mark Rhino Smith, David Sakurai and Raicho Vasilev. The movie revolves around a fast-talking lawyer who is forced to take the law into his own hands and transforms his body to avenge his murdered wife and son. Matt Venne (White Noise 2: The Light) wrote the screenplay. Yariv Lerner and Les Weldon (The Expendables, London Has Fallen) are producing the project for Millennium Films/Nu Image.

The film directed by J.D. Matonti is based on the NEW-GEN comic book series created by the Matonti brothers & Julia Coppola and distributed through Marvel. The movie follows twin brothers, Chris and Sean, who have extraordinary abilities which have made them outcasts on their adopted home planet of Earth. With the guidance from their friend Carmen, they come to realize their true origins are in NEW-GEN, a Utopian world that exists in another dimension.

Marco Beltrami, Marcus Trumpp and Brandon Roberts have recently scored the upcoming horror comedy Little Evil. The film is written and directed by Eli Craig (Tucker and Dale vs Evil) and stars Adam Scott, Evangeline Lilly, Donald Faison, Chris D’Elia, Bridget Everett, Clancy Brown, Brad Williams, Marcus Terrell Smith,and Tyler Labine. The movie follows a man who has just married the woman of his dreams, only to discover that her six-year-old son may be the Antichrist.
Pixar’s ‘Coco’ to Feature Score by Michael Giacchino & Song by Kristen Anderson-Lopez & Bobby Lopez
It was announced today at Disney’s D23 Expo that Michael Giacchino will be providing the score for Pixar’s upcoming animated feature Coco. In addition, Kristen Anderson-Lopez & Bobby Lopez (Frozen) have written the original song Remember Me for the movie directed by Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3) & Adrian Molina and featuring the voices of Gael García Bernal, Anthony Gonzalez, Benjamin Bratt and Renée Victor. The movie follows Miguel who dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz and finds himself in the Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. There will be also be additional additional songs co-written by Germaine Franco (Dope) and Molina.
Dreamlab’s Leah Haywood & Daniel James and Rob Ellmore Scoring ‘The Layover’
Record producers/songwriters Leah Haywood & Daniel James (also known as production team Dreamlab) and Rob Ellmore have composed the original music for the upcoming comedy The Layover. The film is directed by William H. Macy and stars Alexandra Daddario, Kate Upton, Matt Barr, Matt Jones, Molly Shannon, Kal Penn and Rob Cordry. The movie follows two single female best friends who find themselves competing for the same guy during an extended layover in St. Louis. David Hornsby (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Lance Krall wrote the screenplay.
Dustin O’Halloran & Hauschka to Score Alfonso Gomez-Rejon’s ‘The Current War’
Dustin O’Halloran and Hauschka have signed on to score the upcoming historical drama The Current War. The film is directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Shannon, Katherine Waterston, Nicholas Hoult, Matthew Macfayden and Tom Holland. The movie takes place in the late 1880s and revolves around power titans Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse’s battle over the supply of electricity. Michael Mitnick (The Giver) wrote the screenplay. Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Night Watch) is producing the project with Basil Iwanyk (Sicario, The Town, John Wick).
‘Black Butterfly’ Soundtrack Details
Ala Bianca Records will release a soundtrack album for the psychological thriller Black Butterfly. The album features the film’s original music composed by Federico Jusid (The Secret In Their Eyes, Neruda, Misconduct). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 13 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Black Butterfly is directed by Brian Goodman and stars Antonio Banderas, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Piper Perabo. The thriller revolves around a down-on-his-luck screenwriter who picks up a drifter and offers him a place to stay. When the deranged stranger takes the screenwriter hostage and forces him to write, their unhinged relationship brings buried secrets to light.

Frederik Wiedmann has recently recorded his score for the upcoming crime thriller Hangman. The film is directed by Johnny Martin and stars Al Pacino, Karl Urban, Sarah Shahi and Brittany Snow. The movie follows a decorated homicide detective and a criminal profiler who collaborate to catch a serial killer who’s terrorizing a city with a macabre version of the children’s game Hangman. Michael Caissie and Charles Huttinger wrote the screenplay. Michael Mendelsohn (Wild Horses, Rage) and Arnold Rifkin (Hostage, 16 Blocks, Tears of the Sun) are producing the Patriot Pictures and Cheyenne Enterprises production.
Jeff Cardoni to Score Laurie Collyer’s ‘Furlough’
Jeff Cardoni has been hired to score the upcoming indie comedy Furlough. The film is directed by Laurie Collyer (Sherrybaby, Sunlight Jr.) and stars Melissa Leo and La La Anthony. Anna Paquin, Tessa Thompson and Whoopi Goldberg are also rumored to appear in the movie, which centers around an inmate who is granted one weekend out of prison to see her dying mother and her relationship with a rookie correction officer. Barry Strugatz (She-Devil, Married to the Mob) wrote the screenplay.
Austin Wintory to Score Paul Solet’s ‘De Niro’
Austin Wintory is reteaming with director Paul Solet on the upcoming thriller De Niro (aka Unchained). The film is written and directed by Solet and stars Adrien Brody, John Malkovich, Antonio Banderas, Ori Pfeffer and Alexandra Dinu. The movie follows three career criminals who trap themselves in a warehouse with the law closing in, and run into the attack dog named DeNiro. Solet is also producing the Millennium Films production with Yariv Lerner, Les Weldon (The Expendables, London Has Fallen), Milos Djukelic, Rick Benattar (Shoot ‘Em Up), Raphael Swann, Victor Shapiro (Mediterranea) and David Gardner.
