Herdís Stefánsdóttir (Y: The Last Man, The Essex Serpent, The Sun Is Also a Star, We’re Here) has been hired to score the upcoming thriller Knock at the Cabin. The film is directed by M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs) and stars Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Ben Aldridge, Kristen Cui, Abby Quinn and Rupert Grint. The movie revolves around a young girl and her parents vacationing at a remote cabin who are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse.
‘Lou’ Soundtrack Album Details
Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Lou. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nima Fakhrara (Detroit: Become Human, Becky, The Signal, Alone, , The Pyramid, The Girl in the Photographs). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 23 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Lou is directed by Anna Foerster and stars Allison Janney, Jurnee Smollett, Logan Marshall-Green, Matt Craven and Ridley Bateman. The J.J. Abrams-produced thriller follows a mysterious loner who finds her quiet life interrupted when a desperate mother begs her to save her kidnapped daughter.

David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Killing Eve, Out of Sight, Haywire, Analyze That, No Sudden Move) has composed the original score for the upcoming crime thriller Marlowe. The film is directed by Neil Jordan (Interview with the Vampire, The Crying Game) and stars Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger, Jessica Lange, Danny Huston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Alan Cumming, Ian Hart and Colm Meaney. The movie is set in 1930s Los Angeles and follows the titular private detective who is hired to find the ex-lover of a glamorous heiress, daughter of a well-known movie star.

Director Neill Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium) has announced that Stephen Barton (Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Titanfall, Apex Legends, 12 Monkeys, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Watch Dogs: Legion) is set to score the upcoming film adaptation of the video game series Gran Turismo. The racing movie starring David Harbour, Archie Madekwe & Orlando Bloom is based on a true story and follows a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won him a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional race-car driver.

Composer Brian H. Kim (Search Party, Panic, BH90210, Star vs. the Forces of Evil) is reuniting with director Michael Showalter (The Big Sick, The Eyes of Tammy Faye) on the upcoming drama Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies. The film is based Michael Ausiello’s bestselling memoir of the same title and stars Jim Parsons, Ben Aldridge, Sally Field, Antoni Porowski, Nikki M. James, Jeffery Self and Bill Irwin. The movie follows Ausiello as he unpacks the emotional maelstrom into which his relationship was plunged in the eleven months that took his partner, photographer Kit, from his diagnosis with terminal cancer to his passing.

Antonio Pinto to Score Asif Kapadia’s ‘2073’
Neon announced today that composer Antonio Pinto (City of God, Nine Days, McFarland, USA, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, Lord of War) is set to reteam with director Asif Kapadia on the upcoming documentary thriller 2073. The film is inspired by Chris Marker’s 1962 experimental sci-fi movie La Jetée and centers on the challenges humanity will face in a dystopian future 50 years from now. Kapadia (The Warrior, The Return) is also producing the Double Agent, Neon and Film4 production with George Chignell (Citizen K).
