Mercury Classics will release a second soundtrack album for Zach Braff’s drama A Good Person. The album features the songs from the movie, including two tracks performed by lead actress Florence Pugh (as her character Allison), The Velvet Underground’s After Hours, Angelo De Augustine’s Time, Odessa’s Wake Up With the Sun, Lizzy McAlpine’s To the Mountains, Leona Naess’ On My Mind, Fenne Lily’s Hypochondriac & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 24. Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, Cyrano, Irresistible, The Kitchen) of the rock band The National has composed the original score for the upcoming drama A Good Person. The film is written and directed by Zach Braff (Garden State, Going in Style) and stars Florence Pugh, Morgan Freeman, Molly Shannon, Celeste O’Connor, Chinaza Uche and Zoe Lister-Jones. The movie revolves around a woman whose life falls apart following her involvement in a fatal accident and centers on the unlikely relationship she forms with her would-be father-in-law that gives her a fighting chance to put herself back together.

Rob Simonsen & Duncan Blickenstaff are composing the original score for the new ABC comedy Alex, Inc. The show is developed by Matt Tarses and stars Zach Braff, Michael Imperioli, Tiya Sircar, Hillary Anne Matthews, Elisha Henig and Audyssie James. The series follows a successful radio producer as he navigates the crazy world of start-ups while trying to keep his marriage to his public defender wife and family a priority.
‘Going in Style’ Soundtrack Details
WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for Zach Braff’s crime comedy Going in Style. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rob Simonsen (Foxcatcher, The Spectacular Now, Nerve, (500) Days of Summer) who previously scored Braff’s Wish I Was Here. Also included are songs by Dean Martin, Otis Redding, Jamie Cullum, Sonny Rollins, Mark Ronson, A Tribe Called Quest & more. The soundtrack will be released on March 31, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Rob Simonsen to Score Zach Braff’s ‘Going in Style’
Rob Simonsen is reteaming with Zach Braff (Garden State, Scrubs) on the upcoming caper comedy Going in Style. The film is a remake of Martin Brest’s 1979 movie of the same title and stars Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Alan Arkin, Joey King, Matt Dillon and Ann-Margret. The movie marks Braff’s third feature directorial effort and follows three retired men who lose their pensions when the company they’ve worked for their entire lives is sold to a foreign corporation, which makes them set out to try to rob the very bank that’s withholding their money. Theodore Melfi (St. Vincent) has written the screenplay. Donald De Line (The Italian Job, Pain & Gain, Body of Lies) is producing the New Line Cinema production.

Miles of Lions Records has released a score album for Zach Braff’s indie dramedy Wish I Was Here. The soundtrack features the film’s original score composed by Rob Simonsen (The Spectacular Now, (500) Days of Summer, The Way Way Back). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon and iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. Columbia Records has announced a soundtrack album for Zach Braff’s indie comedy drama Wish I Was Here. The album features exclusive new songs from The Shins, Bon Iver and Cat Power + Coldplay. Also featured are tracks by Baldy Drawn Boy, Paul Simon, Gary Jules, Allie Moss & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on July 15, 2014. Rob Simonsen has been tapped to score the upcoming Kickstarter-funded drama Wish I Was Here. The movie marks Zach Braff’s second directorial feature following the indie hit Garden State and stars himself, as well as Kate Hudson, Mandy Patinkin, Ashley Greene, Jim Parsons and Josh Gad. The film centers on a struggling actor, husband and father who is trying to find his identity and purpose in his mid-30s and winds up trying to home school his two children when his father can no longer afford to pay for private education. Braff has also co-written the screenplay with his brother Adam. Stacey Sher (Erin Brockovich, Django Unchained) and Michael Shamberg (Contagion, Get Shorty) are producing the project for their Double Feature Films production company.
