The full details of the soundtrack album for Blumhouse’s Firestarter reboot have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by John Carpenter (Halloween, Assault on Precint 13, Christine, The Fog), Cody Carpenter & Daniel Davies who previously co-scored Blumhouse’s Halloween and Halloween Kills. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 13, 2022 by Back Lot Music and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The end titles track is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump. A physical version is also expected. Firestarter is directed by Keith Thomas and stars Zac Efron, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Sydney Lemmon, Kurtwood Smith, John Beasley, Michael Greyeyes and Gloria Reuben. The movie is based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name and revolves around a girl with extraordinary pyrokinetic powers who fights to protect her family and herself from sinister forces that seek to capture and control her.

Alex Heffes Piano Album ‘Sudden Light’ Announced
BAFTA-nominated composer Alex Heffes will release a collection of piano performances of his themes from cinema. The album, entitled Sudden Light, features music from such films as Dear Frankie, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Queen of Katwe, Touching the Void, One Day in September, Emperor, The Elephant Queen, Earth: One Amazing Day, Hope Gap, as well as The 24th, for which he wrote two Ragtime pieces that he expanded for the record with new sections into pieces that stand alone as a homage to that style of music he really like and grew up with. Also included is Sadie’s Theme from the Hulu limited series 11/22/63. The music on the album is performed entirely by Heffes and will be released on May 6, 2022 by Silva Screen Records.
‘Hot Fuzz’ Digital Score Album Released
Back Lot Music has released a digital version of the score album for Edgar Wright’s 2007 action comedy Hot Fuzz starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Jim Broadbent and Timothy Dalton. The album features the film’s original score composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Stargate, Tomorrow Never Dies, Sherlock, Godzilla, Good Omens). Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the soundtrack. Mondo has previously released a vinyl edition featuring Arnold’s score in 2017. The 2007 original soundtrack album featuring songs from the movie and Arnold’s The Hot Fuzz Suite was released by Interscope Records.
‘Hostile Territory’ Soundtrack Album Announced
MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the western Hostile Territory. The album features the film’s original music composed by John Koutselinis (The Great Alaskan Race). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 22 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Hostile Territory is written and directed by Brian Presley and stars Presley himself, Craig Tate, Natalie Whittle, Lew Temple, Matt McCoy and Brad Leland. The movie is set in post-civil war America and tells the story of a Union soldier who is presumed dead as a POW and whose children are mistakenly sent away on an orphan train to be placed in a new home.
‘Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1982 comedy Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid co-written and directed by Carl Reiner and starring Steve Martin, Rachel Ward, Alan Ladd, Reiner himself and Reni Santoni. The 2-CD set, which is being released as part of Universal Pictures’ Film Music Classics Collection features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Miklós Rózsa (Ben-Hur, Spellbound, Quo Vadis, King of Kings, The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, Ivanhoe), including the complete score on the first disc and additional scoring cues and alternates on the second disc. ‘The Mulligan’ Soundtrack Album Released
Rob Pottorf (The Ultimate Legacy, Mountain Top, Jimmy, Finding Faith, I Am Patrick, Dog Days of Summer) has released a soundtrack album for the faith-based drama The Mulligan. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Mulligan is directed by Michael O. Sajbel and stars Eric Close and Pat Boone, as well as PGA golfer Tom Lehman and broadcasting legend Jim Nantz as themselves. The movie is based on the book of the same title by Wally Armstrong & Ken Blanchard and follows a career-focused CEO separated from his wife and estranged from his son of who encounters a mysterious character known as “The Old Pro” who inspires him to reverse his downward spiral.

The Mute Man of Sardinia is co-written and directed by Matteo Fresi and stars Andrea Arcangeli, Marco Bullitta, Giovanni Carroni and Syama Rayner.
