Chris Westlake (Castle Rock, Before We Go, Transit, Small Town Crimes) is the composer of the upcoming CBS All Access animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks. The show is developed by Mike McMahan (Rick and Morty) and features the voices of Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, Noël Wells, Eugene Cordero, Dawnn Lewis, Jerry O’Connell, Fred Tatasciore and Gillian Vigman. The animated comedy focuses on the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the U.S.S. Cerritos, in 2380. McMahan is also producing the project for CBS’ Eye Animation Productions, alongside Secret Hideout’s Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek Into Darkness, Now You See Me) & Heather Kadin (Scorpion, Sleepy Hollow), Roddenberry Entertainment’s Rod Roddenberry & Trevor Roth (Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard), as well as Katie Krentz.

The full details of the new soundtrack album for the CBS All Access original series Star Trek: Picard have been revealed. Jeff Russo to Score CBS All Access’ ‘Star Trek: Picard’
Jeff Russo has been confirmed as the composer of the upcoming CBS All Access original series Star Trek: Picard. The show stars Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard, which he played for seven seasons on Star Trek: The Next Generation and several movies, including Star Trek Generations, First Contact, Insurrection and Nemesis. Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway and Evan Evagora are co-starring in the drama, which will follow Picard into the next chapter of his life. Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek Into Darkness, Now You See Me), Michael Chabon (John Carter, Wonder Boys), Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind, I Am Legend), James Duff (The Closer), Heather Kadin, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth and Stewart are executive producing the CBS Television Studios production.

The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, The Night Of, The Act, Mile 22, Counterpart). Also included are three tracks from Russo’s score for Short Treks. The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 19 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A physical version is also in the works. The label has previously released two soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s music from the series’ first season.

The full details of the second soundtrack album for the CBS All Access original series Star Trek: Discovery. The album features selections of the original music from Chapter 2 (episodes 10-15) from the show’s first season composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, The Night Of, Snowfall, Counterpart, Power). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 6, 2018 by Lakeshore Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version is set to come out in May and can be ordered here. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring the composer’s music from Chapter 1 (episodes 1-9). A vinyl release featuring selections from both chapters is also in the works.
‘Deep Space Nine’ Soundtrack Collection Vol. 2 Announced
La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the sci-fi series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The Volume 2 albums features 4 CDs including original music from the classic TV show by composers Dennis McCarthy (Star Trek: Generations), Jay Chattaway (Star Trek: The Next Generation), David Bell, Gregory Smith & Paul Baillargeon (Star Trek: Enterprise). CBS has published a behind-the-scenes video featuring the main theme from Star Trek: Discovery. ‘Star Trek Beyond’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced a deluxe soundtrack edition for this year’s sci-fi adventure Star Trek Beyond. The album features the film’s expanded score composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Jurassic World, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Lost). The 2-CD set is limited to 5000 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website. The label has also released the regular soundtrack for the movie earlier this year. Star Trek Beyond is directed by Justin Lin, produced by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Idris Elba and Sofia Boutella.
