Movistar Sound has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish miniseries Silence (Silencio). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Joan Vilà (Everyone Will Burn, Red Summer, You’re Not Me, Quién eres). Silence is written and directed by Eduardo Casanova and stars Lucía Díez, María León, Ana Polvorosa, Leticia Dolera, Mariola Fuentes, Carolina Rubio and Omar Ayuso. The horror comedy drama takes place in two different timelines and follows a family of vampire sisters who survive the shortage of “clean human blood” caused by the Black Death and – centuries later – face a similar conflict during the AIDS pandemic.

Rhino Warner Classics will release a soundtrack album for Martin Scorsese’s drama Silence. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kim Allen Kluge and Kathryn Kluge. The soundtrack will be released physically on February 24, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Silence starring Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver, Tadanobu Asano, Ciarán Hinds and Liam Neeson is set in the 17th century and centers on two Jesuit priests who face violence and persecution when they travel to Japan to locate their mentor and propagate Christianity.

Music Credits Revealed for Martin Scorsese’s ‘Silence’
Paramount Pictures has revealed the music credits for Martin Scorsese’s historical drama Silence today. Kim Allen Kluge and Kathryne Kluge have composed the film’s original score. Robbie Robertson serves as the movie’s executive music producer. He previously had the same role on several of the director’s features, including The Wolf of Wall Street, Gangs of New York and King of Comedy. Music supervisors are Randall Poster (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Hangover) who previously worked on Scorsese’s The Aviator, Hugo, The Wolf of Wall Street and Boardwalk Empire and John Schaefer. Alberto Iglesias to Score Pedro Almodovar’s ‘Silence’ (‘Silencio’)
Alberto Iglesias will be reteaming with director Pedro Almodovar on the upcoming Spanish drama Silence (Silencio). The film stars Adriana Ugarte, Emma Suárez, Daniel Grao, Dario Grandinetti, Rossy de Palma, Inma Cuesta, Nathalie Poza and Pilar Castro. The movie spans 30 years in a woman’s life from a nostalgic 1985 when everything seems much better to 2015, when everything seems beyond repair and she is on the verge of madness. Almodovar is also writing the screenplay and the director’s brother Agustin is producing the project with Ester Garcia (Wild Tales).
Howard Shore to Score Martin Scorsese’s ‘Silence’
Howard Shore confirmed in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he will be reuniting with director Martin Scorsese on the upcoming historical drama Silence. The film stars Andrew Garfield as a 17th-century Portuguese Jesuit who travels to Japan with a fellow priest, played by Liam Neeson, amid rumors that his mentor has abandoned the Church, to find out that the local Christian population has been driven underground by religious persecution. Ken Watanabe and Adam Driver are co-starring. Jay Cooks (Gangs of New York, Age of Innocence) has written the screenplay based on the novel by Shûsaku Endô. Irwin Winkler (Goodfellas, Rocky, Raging Bull) is producing the project with Randall Emmett & George Furla (End of Watch, Lone Survivor, 2 Guns) and Emma Tillinger Koskoff (The Wolf of Wall Street).
