Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the score album for the action movie Need for Speed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nathan Furst who previously scored Act of Valor for the movie’s director Scott Waugh. The soundtrack will be released physically on April 15, 2014. More information about the digital release will be added to this article soon. As previously reported, Interscope Records has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the film. Need for Speed starring Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots, Scott Mescudi, Ramon Rodriguez, Michael Keaton, Rami Malek, Dakota Johnson and Harrison Gilbertson follows a muscle car mechanic and street racer who gets out of prison determined to settle the score with the man responsible for his false conviction. The movie will be released nationwide on March 14.

‘Draft Day’ Soundtrack Details
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the sports drama Draft Day. The album features the film’s original music written by Academy Award-nominated composer John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Elf, Iron Man 2). Draft Day is directed by Ivan Reitman (Ghostbusters) and stars Kevin Costner, Jennifer Garner, Denis Leary, Frank Langella, Sam Elliot, Sean Combs, Terry Crews, Ellen Burstyn and Chadwick Boseman. The movie follows the manager of the Cleveland Browns who struggles to acquire the top draft pick for his team on the day of the draft.
Expanded ‘The Sum of All Fears’ Soundtrack Released
La La-Land Records has released a new soundtrack album for the 2002 thriller The Sum of All Fears directed by Phil Alden Robinson, based on the novel by Tom Clancy and starring Ben Affleck, Morgan Freeman and Liev Schreiber. The album features the film’s expanded and remastered original score composed by Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Alien, The Omen), including almost 30 minutes of previously unreleased music, as well as bonus cues. Also featured is the original song If We Could Remember performed by Yolanda Adams, as well as Nessum Dorma from Puccini’s opera Turandot performed by Bruce Sledge and Star-Spangled Banner performed by Arnold McCuller. The soundtrack for the Paramount Pictures production is limited to 3000 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio clips.
‘Grand Piano’ Soundtrack Released
MovieScore Media and Kronos Records have released a soundtrack album for the psychological thriller Grand Piano. The album features the film’s original music composed by Victor Reyes (Buried, Red Lights). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon. Grand Piano is directed by Eugenio Mira and stars Elijah Wood, John Cusack, Tamsin Egerton, Kerry Bishe, Alex Winter, Don McManus and Allen Leech. The thriller follows a piano virtuoso who returns to perform after being forced into early retirement because of stage fright. The movie is now playing in select theaters and is also available on VOD.
‘Divergent’ Score Album Details
The details of the score album for the film adaptation of the young adult novel Divergent have been revealed. The soundtrack features the film’s original score composed by Junkie XL (300: Rise of an Empire, Paranoia) and executive produced by Hans Zimmer. Ellie Goulding is featured as a vocalist on the score. The album will be released digitally on March 18, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the indie drama The Motel Life. The album features the film’s original score composed by David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Out of Sight, Haywire). Also included are the songs from the movie by such artists as Jonathan Clay, Joe D’Augustine, Townes Van Zandt, Buddy Stuart, The Kills, Richmond Fontaine, Justin Townes Earle and Little Accidents. The soundtrack will be released on March 18, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Motel Life is directed by Alan & Gabe Polsky and stars Emile Hirsch, Stephen Dorff, Dakota Fanning, Kris Kristofferson, Garret Backstrom, Andrew Lee, Doc Divecchio, Nancy Youngblut. The movie based on the novel by Willy Vlautin follows two down-on-their-luck brothers who are forced to flee from their home to Reno after being involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident.

A soundtrack album will be released for the indie coming-of-age drama Beneath the Harvest Sky. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dustin Hamman. Beneath the Harvest Sky is written and directed by Aron Gaudet & Gita Pullapilly and stars Emory Cohen, Callan McAuliffe, Zoe Levin, Aiden Gillen and Carla Callo. The movie centers on two teenage boys and their last summer working the potato harvest. The drama premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and was picked by Tribeca Films for a release in select theaters on May 2 and an early VOD release on April 15.

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for Raymond De Felitta’s crime drama Rob the Mob. The album features the film’s original music composed by Stephen Endelman (De-Lovely, Flirting with Disaster, Home of the Brave). The composer previously scored the feature Two Family House for the director who opted to edit the film in the composer’s Los Angeles studio. Endelman has also composed the end credits song Love and the Gun, which was recorded in English and Italian and is performed by New York jazz singer Tamela D’Amico. Also featured on the soundtrack are songs by Deee-Lite, Staple Singers and Wilson Pickett. The album will be released on March 18 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The 13-part series is hosted by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and explores how we discovered the laws of nature and found our coordinates in space and time.
‘The Missing Picture’ Soundtrack Announced
Milan Records will release the soundtrack album for the Academy Award-nominated documentary The Missing Picture in the U.S. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marc Marder. The soundtrack will be released on March 18, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Missing Picture is directed by Rithy Panh and follows his quest to create the missing images during the period when the Khmer Rouge ruled over Cambodia between 1975 and 1979. The Cambodian film premiered at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, where it won the jury prize for best film in the Un Certain Regard sidebar. The movie was one of the five features nominated in the Best Foreign Language Film category at this year’s Academy Awards and will be released in theaters on March 19 by Strand Releasing.
