Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC drama Steeltown Murders. The album features the show’s original music composed by Sarah Warne (Humans, Des, Time, Hollington Drive, The Drowning, Dark Money) and performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, June 16 and will be available to stream/download here. Steeltown Murders is written by Ed Whitmore and stars Philip Glenister, Steffan Rhodri, Sharon Morgan, Keith Allen, Scott Arthur, Priyanga Burford and Siôn Alun Davies. The 4-part drama directed by Marc Evans depicts the hunt for “The Saturday Night Strangler” who terrorized Port Talbot in the 1970s and reveals how the mystery was solved almost 30 years later using pioneering DNA evidence.

Sarah Warne (Humans, Time, Hollington Drive, The Drowning, Our House, Dark Money) has been hired to score the upcoming ITV drama The Long Shadow. The show is written by George Kay (Lupin, Criminal) based on Michael Bilton’s book Wicked Beyond Belief: The Hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper and stars Daniel Mays, Katherine Kelly and David Morrissey. The series centers on one of the most notorious and shocking serial killer cases in the world, the hunt for Peter Sutcliffe, dubbed the Yorkshire Ripper, between October 1975 and January 1981.

Sarah Warne (Humans, Des, Time, Hollington Drive, The Drowning, Dark Money) has recently scored the new ITV drama Our House. The show is written by Simon Ashdown (EastEnders) based on the best-selling novel by Louise Candlish and stars Tuppence Middleton, Martin Compston, Bram Lawson, Weruche Opia and Buket Komur. The 4-part thriller follows a woman who arrives home one day to find a family of strangers moving into her house and – together with her husband – tries to make sense of the events that led to a devastating crime.

Sarah Warne (Humans, Des, Dark Money, Time) is currently scoring the upcoming ITV series Hollington Drive. The show is written by Sophie Petzal (Blood) and stars Anna Maxwell Martin, Rachael Stirling, Rhashan Stone, Ken Nwosu, Peter McDonald, Jonas Armstrong and Jodie McNee. The 4-part thriller follows the lives of two sisters whose lives are torn apart when one of the sisters’ child goes missing. Petzal is also executive producing the West Road Pictures production with Jonathan Fisher (Penance, Midsumer Murders).
Soundtrack Album for BBC’s ‘Time’ Released
Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album for the BBC miniseries Time. The album features the show’s original music composed by Sarah Warne (Humans, Des, Prey, Dark Money, She’s French, The Drowning).. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital platforms overseas and will be available in U.S. stores (including Amazon) later this week. Time is created by Jimmy McGovern and stars Sean Bean, Stephen Graham, Siobhan Finneran, Sue Johnston, Hannah Walters, David Calder, Nadine Marshall, Michael Socha, Aneurin Barnard, James Nelson-Joyce and Jack McMulllen.

Premiering tonight is the third season of the Starz anthology series The Girlfriend Experience written and directed by Anja Marquardt (based on Steven Soderbergh’s feature of the same title) and starring Julia Goldani Telles. Matthew Pusti (A Good Woman Is Hard to Find, Whistleblower) has composed the original music for Season 3 and follows Shane Carruth and the Mondo Boys who scored the first two seasons. The third season, which is set amidst the London tech scene and follows a neuroscience major who begins to explore the transactional world of The Girlfriend Experience, only to find herself deep inside the uncanny valley with the relationships she creates, will air Sunday nights on Starz.
Premiering on Tuesday, May 4, is Lucasfilm’s Disney+ original series Star Wars: The Bad Batch created by Dave Filoni and starring Dee Bradley Baker, Ming-Na Wen, Stephen Stanton and Andrew Kishino. The show’s original music is composed by Kevin Kiner (Narcos: Mexico, Doom Patrol, CSI: Miami, Titans, City on a Hill, Making a Murderer) who previously scored all episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (and the feature of the same title) and Star Wars Rebels. Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the ITV mini-series Des. The album features the show’s original music composed by Sarah Warne (Prey, Humans, Dark Money, Time, She’s French, The Drowning). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 7, 2021 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other major digital music outlets. Des is written by Luke Neal & Kelly Jones based on the novel Killing For Company by Brian Masters and stars David Tennant, Daniel Mays, Jason Watkins, Alex Bhat, Jay Simpson, Gerard Horan and Ron Cook. The 3-parter directed by Lewis Arnold is based on real life events, the 1983 arrest of Scottish serial killer Dennis Nilsen and one of the most infamous criminal cases in UK history, and focuses on Nilsen’s capture and subsequent trial.

Sarah Warne has been tapped to score the upcoming BBC drama Time. The show is written by Jimmy McGovern (Broken, The Street, Accused) and stars Stephen Graham, Sean Bean, Siobhan Finneran, Sue Johnston, Hannah Walters, David Calder, Nadine Marshall, Michael Socha, Aneurin Barnard and Jack McMulllen. The 3-part series follows a teacher, husband and father, who killed an innocent man in an accident, as he accepts and even welcomes his four-year sentence.

Premiering tomorrow, October 12, is the second episode of the AMC anthology series Soulmates created by Will Bridges & Brett Goldstein. Episode 2, entitled The Lovers, is directed by Rob Savage and stars David Costabile, Sonya Cassidy, Karima McAdams and Henry Goodman. Michael Price (Sherlock, Dracula, Wild Target, A Fantastic Fear of Everything, Unforgotten, Another Me) has composed the episode’s original music.
