Roque Banos is reuniting with director Fede Alvarez on the upcoming thriller The Girl in the Spider’s Web. The film stars Claire Foy, alongside Sverrir Gudnason, Sylvia Hoeks, Claes Bang, Lakeith Stanfield, Vicky Krieps, Synnove Macody Lund and Stephen Merchant. The movie is the sequel to David Fincher’s 2011 feature The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (scored by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross) and follows Lisbeth Salander and journalist Mikael Blomkvist as they find themselves caught in a web of spies, cyber criminals and corrupt government officials.

‘The Miracle Season’ Soundtrack to Be Released
Meliam Music will release a soundtrack album for the sports drama The Miracle Season. The album features the film’s original music composed by Roque Banos (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead, In the Heart of the Sea, The Machinist, Risen). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 15, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Miracle Season is directed by Sean McNamara and stars Helen Hunt, William Hurt, Danika Yarosh and Erin Moriarty. The movie is based on a true story and follows the West High School girls’ volleyball team as they band together after the loss of the school’s star player in hope of winning the state championship.

Four new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the horror thriller A Quiet Place directed by John Krasinski and starring Krasinski himself, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe. The film’s original music is composed by Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Logan, Scream, World War Z, The Hurt Locker, The Wolverine). Roque Banos to Score Terry Gilliam’s ‘The Man Who Killed Don Quixote’
Roque Banos has been hired to score the upcoming film adaptation of The Man Who Killed Don Quixote. The film is directed by Terry Gilliam (Brazil, The Fisher King, The Brothers Grimm) and stars Adam Driver, Michael Palin, Stellan Skarsgard and Olga Kurylenko. The movie follows a jaded young advertising executive who returns to the Spanish village where he made a film based on Cervantes’ masterpiece years earlier and meets a villager who believes himself to be Don Quixote as he gets swept up in a fantastic extravaganza complete with damsels in distress, knights and giants. Gilliam also co-wrote the screenplay with Tony Grisoni (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Tideland) based on the novel by Miguel de Cervantes y Saavedra.

Byron Willinger and Phil de Blasi wrote the screenplay. Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman (Non-Stop, The Apparition) are producing the Studiocanal and The Picture Company production.
