Music Box Records has released a soundtrack album for the French dramatic thriller Black Box (Boîte noire). The album features the film’s original music composed, orchestrated and conducted by Philippe Rombi (Swimming Pool, In the House, Angel, Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion, Joyeux Noel). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. A limited edition CD version is available to order on the label’s official website. Black Box is directed by Yann Gozlan and stars Pierre Niney, Lou De Laâge and André Dussollier. The movie follows a young and talented black box analyst on a mission to solve the reason behind the deadly crash of a brand-new aircraft.

The album features the film’s original music composed by Philippe Rombi (Swimming Pool, In the House, Angel, Joyeux Noel) who previously scored the last entry in the series, Asterix and Obelix: Mansion of the Gods. Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion is directed by Alexandre Astier & Louis Clichy and features the voices of Christian Clavier, Florence Foresti, Elie Semoun, François Morel and Lionnel Astier.

Philippe Rombi (Swimming Pool, In the House, Angel, Joyeux Noel) is currently recording his score for the upcoming animated feature Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion (Astérix: Le secret de la potion magique). The film is directed by Alexandre Astier & Louis Clichy and features the voices of Christian Clavier, Florence Foresti, Elie Semoun, François Morel, Alexandre Astier and Lionnel Astier. The movie follows Asterix & Obelix as they embark on a quest across Gaul to find a young druid worthy of learning the secret of the magic potion.

Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide:
Opening in most theaters is Marvel Studios’ Black Panther directed by Ryan Coogler and stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke and Andy Serkis. Ludwig Goransson (Creed, Community, Fruitvale Station) has composed the film’s original score. Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack featuring the composer’s score. Also opening wide is the animated feature Early Man directed by Nick Park and featuring the voices of Eddie Redmayne, Tom Hiddleston, Maisie Williams, Timothy Spall and Richard Ayoade. Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, The Martian, Shrek) & Tom Howe (Professor Marston and the Wonder Women) have composed the film’s original score. Mercury Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as new songs by New Hope Club and The Vamps and a track by Kaiser Chiefs. ‘Amant Double’ Soundtrack to Be Released
A soundtrack album will be released for Francois Ozon’s thriller Amant Double (L’amant double). The album features the film’s original music composed by Philippe Rombi who previously collaborated with the director on numerous projects including Swimming Pool, Frantz, In the House, Potiche, Young & Beautiful and Angel. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 16, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Amant Double is written and directed by Ozon and stars Jérémie Renier, Marine Vacth and Jacqueline Bisset. The movie follows a fragile young woman who falls in love with her psychoanalyst, but soon discovers that her lover is concealing part of his identity.

Philippe Rombi is reteaming with director Francois Ozon on the upcoming French thriller Amant Double. The film is written and directed by Ozon and stars Jérémie Renier, Marine Vacth and Jacqueline Bisset. The movie follows a fragile young woman who falls in love with her psychoanalyst, but soon discovers that her lover is concealing part of his identity. Eric & Nicolas Altmayer (OSS 117, Saint Laurent) are producing the project. The composer is recording his score this month. Amant Double is rumored to premiere in May at the Cannes Film Festival and is set to be released later this year in France.

Opening in most theaters is Disney’s live action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast directed by Bill Condon and starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ian McKellen, Audra McDonald and Emma Thompson. The film’s original music is composed by Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin). He also wrote the movie’s classic songs with Howard Ashman and the new songs with lyricist Tim Rice. Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, 300, Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead) has composed the film’s original score. Cristal Records will release a soundtrack album for Francois Ozon’s drama Frantz. The album features the film’s original music composed by Philippe Rombi who previously collaborated with the director on such films as Swimming Pool, In the House, Young & Beautiful, Potiche and Angel. Also included the classical pieces from the movie by Chopin and Tchaïkovsky. The soundtrack will be released overseas on September 9, 2016. Frantz is written and directed by Ozon and stars Paula Beer, Pierre Niney, Marie Gruber, Ernst Stötzner, Johann Von Bülow and Anton Von Lucke. The movie is set in a small German town in the aftermath of World War I, where a young woman mourning the death of her fiancé forms a bond with a mysterious Frenchman who has arrived to lay flowers on her beloved’s grave.
‘Team Spirit’ Soundtrack Announced
Music Box Records has announced a soundtrack album for the French drama Team Spirit (L’Outsider). The album features the film’s original music composed, orchestrated and conducted by Philippe Rombi (Swimming Pool, Joyeux Noel, In the House, War of the Buttons). The soundtrack will be released on June 17, 2016. Visit Amazon to pre-order the album and to check out audio samples. Team Spirit is directed by Christophe Barratier (The Chorus) and stars Arthur Dupont, François-Xavier Demaison and Sabrina Ouazani. The movie tells the story of French trader Jérôme Kerviel who was convicted in the 2008 Société Générale trading loss for breach of trust, forgery and unauthorized use of the bank’s computers.

This past week, Philippe Rombi has recorded his score for the upcoming French drama Frantz. The film is written and directed by Francois Ozon and stars Pierre Niney, Paula Beer, Marie Gruber, Ernst Stötzner, Johann von Bülow and Anton von Lucke. The movie takes place in the aftermath of WWI and revolves around the encounter between a young German woman who grieves the death of her fiancé in France, and a mysterious French man who visits the fiance’s grave to lay flowers. Eric and Nicolas Altmayer (Saint Laurent, Chocolat) are producing the project for Mandarin Cinema.
