Opening in theaters nationwide today is the drama Cry Macho directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Eastwood himself, Eduardo Minett, Natalia Traven, Fernanda Urrejola, Dwight Yoakam and Horacio Garcia-Rojas. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Mancina (Moana, Tarzan, Bad Boys, Speed, Twister, August Rush, Training Day). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original song performed by Will Banister last week. Also opening wide is the action thriller Copshop directed by Joe Carnahan and starring Gerard Butler, Frank Grillo, Alexis Louder and Toby Huss. Clinton Shorter (District 9, The Expanse, 2 Guns, Contraband, Pompeii, Boss Level) has composed the film’s original music. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last Friday. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the Showtime documentary My Psychedelic Love Story. The album features the film’s original music composed by Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Tales from the Loop, Dynasty, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D) . The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also listen to audio clips. My Psychedelic Love Story is directed by Errol Morris (who previously collaborated with the composer on the Netflix series Wormwood and the features The B-Side: Elsa Dorfman’s Portrait Photography & American Dharma) and examines the notorious high priest of LSD Timothy Leary through the eyes of his famed lover Joanna Harcourt-Smith.

Premiering tonight is the Showtime documentary My Psychedelic Love Story directed by Errol Morris. The film’s original music is composed by Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Dynasty, Tales from the Loop, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D) who previously collaborated with Morris on the Netflix series Wormwood and the features The B-Side: Elsa Dorfman’s Portrait Photography and American Dharma. The movie, which examines the notorious high priest of LSD Timothy Leary through the eyes of his famed lover Joanna Harcourt-Smith, premiered at this year’s AFI Fest and will debut exclusively on Showtime.

Premiering on Friday, December 4, is the Disney+ original movie Godmothered directed by Sharon Maguire and starring Isla Fisher, Jillian Bell, Jane Curtin, Jillian Shea Spaeder (who also contributed new songs to the project), Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Willa Skye, Santiago Cabrera, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Artemis Pebdani, Stephnie Weir, June Squibb and Carlease Burke. Rachel Portman (Emma, The Cider House Rules, Chocolat) has composed the film’s original score. Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the Amazon original series Tales from the Loop. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Academy Award nominee Philip Glass (The Hours, Notes on a Scandal, Kundun, Koyaanisqatsi, The Illusionist, Candyman) & Emmy Award nominee Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Wormwood, Dynasty, Designated Survivor). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 3 and will be available to stream/download here. Tales from the Loop is developed by Nathaniel Halpern inspired by the paintings of Simon Stålenhag and stars Rebecca Hall, Duncan Joiner, Daniel Zolghadri, Tyler Barnhardt and Jonathan Pryce. Philip Glass (The Hours, Notes on a Scandal, Naqoyqatsi) and Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Wormwood) are teaming up to score the upcoming Amazon original series Tales from the Loop. The sci-fi drama based is developed by Nathaniel Halpern (Legion) based on the art of Simon Stålenhag. Rebecca Hall has been cast as the female lead of the show, which explores the town and people who live above “The Loop,” a machine built to unlock and explore the mysteries of the universe – making things possible that were previously relegated only to science fiction. Halpern is also executive producing Fox 21 Television Studios production with Mark Romanek (Never Let Me Go, One Hour Photo), Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes, Cloverfield), Adam Kassan and Rafi Crohn (The Passage), Mattias Montero, Samantha Taylor Pickett, Adam Berg and Stålenhag.
