Premiering tonight is the Syfy original movie The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time directed by Anthony C. Ferrante and starring Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, Cassie Scerbo, Judah Friedlander, Vivica A. Fox and Chris Owen. The film’s original music is composed by Christopher Cano and Chris Ridenhour who scored the previous four movies in the series. The sixth installment in the Sharknado series follows Fin as he has to go back in time to stop the first Sharknado and save humanity. Premiering on Friday, August 24 is the Netflix original series The Innocents created by Hania Elkington & Simon Duri and starring Sorcha Groundsell, Percelle Ascott and Guy Pearce. Carly Paradis (Line of Duty, Sick Note) is composing the show’s original music. Raphael Saadiq has recently scored the new Netflix original movie The After Party. The film is written and directed by Ian Edelman (Puerto Ricans in Paris, How to Make It in America) and stars Kyle Harvey, Harrison Holzer, Teyana Taylor, Blair Underwood, Jordan Rock and Shelley Hennig. The comedy follows an aspiring rapper and his best friend/manager who have one night to bounce back from embarrassment and make their dreams of hip-hop stardom come true.

Steven Price Scoring Netflix’s ‘Our Planet’

Steven Price has been tapped to compose the music for the upcoming Netflix nature documentary series Our Planet. The show is produced by Silverback Films, led by Alastair Fothergill (Deep Blue, Earth) & Keith Scholey (Bears, African Cats), and explores remote wilderness areas across the globe. The 8-parter will present never-before-filmed settings, ranging from the ice caps and deep ocean to deserts and remote forests, featuring some of the world’s rarest animals and most precious natural habitats.

Dan Romer is scoring the upcoming Netflix original limited series Maniac. The show is developed by Patrick Somervile, directed by Cary Fukunaga (True Detective, Jane Eyre, Sin Nombre) and stars Emma Stone, Jonah Hill, Sonoya Mizuno, Justin Theroux, Julia Garner and Sally Field. The comedy is based on the Norwegian television series of the same title created by Hakon Bast Mossige & Espen PA Lervaag, follows two strangers who find themselves caught up in a mind-bending pharmaceutical trial gone awry.

Premiering tomorrow, August 6, is the AMC original series Lodge 49 created by Jim Gavin and starring Wyatt Russell, Brent Jennings, Sonya Cassidy, Linda Emond, David Pasquesi and Eric Allan Kramer. The show’s original music is composed by Andrew Carroll. The series is set in Long Beach, California and centers on a disarmingly optimistic local ex-surfer who’s drifting after the death of his father and collapse of the family business. The drama will air Monday nights on AMC. Premiering in the U.S. on Tuesday, August 7, is the Canadian drama Carter created by Garry Campbell and starring Jerry O’Connell, Sydney Tamiia Poitier, Varun Saranga, Matt Baram, Kristian Bruun and Brenda Kamino. Ian LeFeuvre (Burden of Truth, The Detail) and Ari Posner (Flashpoint, Anne with an E) are composing the show’s original music. The series follows a television actor who returns to his small hometown after a public meltdown and partners with his detective friend to use his acting experience to solve real crimes. Soundtrack Album for Netflix/Univision Series ‘El Chapo’ Released

Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix/Unvision series El Chapo. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Andrés Sánchez Maher, Gus Reyes (Falco) and Eduardo Aram (Cocaine Godmother). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. El Chapo is created by Silvana Aguirre Zegarra & Carlos Contreras and stars Marco de la O, Humberto Busto, Juan Carlos Olivas,  Alejandro Aguilar, Rolf Petersen and Hernan Romo. The drama chronicles the true story of the rise, capture and escape of notorious Mexican drug lord Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.

End Titles Song ‘Don’t Wake Me Up’ from ‘Extinction’ Released

The Newton Brothers (Oculus, Ouja: Origin of Evil, Life of Crime, Detachment) and Callaghan Belle have written the original end titles song for the sci-fi thriller Extinction. JoJo is featured as a vocalist on the track. The song is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. Extinction is directed by Ben Young and stars Michael Peña, Lizzy Caplan, Mike Colter, Lilly Aspell, Emma Booth and Israel Broussard. The movie revolves around family man plagued by dreams of an alien invasion who faces his worst nightmare when an extraterrestrial force begins exterminating Earth’s inhabitants.
