Mutant has released the second volume of the album Exotic Themes for the Silver Screen. The record features themes by Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Star Trek, The Incredibles, Ratatouille), re-recorded and re-imagined (in the style known as Exotica) by himself. Among the titles featured on the second volume are themes from films such as Inside Out, Jurassic World, The Batman, Doctor Strange, Coco, the Spider-Man: Homecoming trilogy, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Zootopia, Jojo Rabbit, War for Planet of the Apes, Jupiter Ascending & Thor: Love and Thunder, as well as his directorial effort Werewolf by Night and his Marvel Studios Fanfare. Exotic Themes for the Silver Screen – Volume 2 is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other digital music services and a physical version will be available to order on Mutant’s official website. Michael Giacchino’s ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Main Theme Released
Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have released the main theme from Marvel Studios’ upcoming feature The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The track written by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino (Up, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange, Lost, Jurassic World, The Incredibles, The Batman, Ratatouille) is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The composer has already recorded his theme, which first made its debut at last month’s Comic-Con, prior to principal photography on the film, which just started on July 30 at Pinewood Studios in London. The full details of the first volume of the album Exotic Themes for the Silver Screen have been revealed. The album features themes by Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino re-recorded and re-imagined (in the style known as Exotica) by the composer himself. Among the titles featured on the record are themes from films such as Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Cloverfield, Let Me In, Super 8, Speed Racer, The Family Stone, Cars 2, Land of the Lost & Monte Carlo, TV shows Lost and Alias, the theme park attraction Space Mountain and video games including The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Medal of Honor and Secret Weapons Over Normandy. The album will be released digitally on July 26 by Mutant. A CD and vinyl edition is also in the works. Visit Amazon to pre-order the record in digital, CD and vinyl formats. ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ 3-LP Set Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Announced
Varèse Sarabande and Craft Recordings have announced the first-ever vinyl release of the expanded deluxe edition soundtrack album for J.J. Abrams’ 2013 sci-fi adventure Star Trek Into Darkness starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, Karl Urban, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood and Benedict Cumberbatch. The album featuring the film’s original score composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, The Incredibles, Jurassic World, Lost, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Ratatouille, The Batman) is being released on vinyl as a 3-LP Blue, Red, and Yellow set themed after the iconic Starfleet uniforms. The collection, which includes a 16-page booklet with behind-the-scenes photos from the set and notes from Abrams and Giacchino, will be released on September 6. The 3-LP tricolor set (limited to 1,000 copies) is now available for pre-order on Amazon (and other North American retailers), while a Translucent Clear set will be available for the rest of the world.
