Premiering today is the National Geographic original documentary series OceanXplorers and narrated by James Cameron and executive produced by Cameron, Maria Wilhelm, Roger Webb, Orla Doherty, Ray Dalio, Vincent Pieribone, Mark Dalio, Joe Ruffolo and Kevin Tao Mohs about OceanX’s state-of-the-art scientific research and exploration vessel. The show’s original music is composed by Nainita Desai (For Sama, The Deepest Breath, Nautilus, The Tower, The Reason I Jump, Crossfire, Funny Woman). Check out our previous news article for more information about the 6-parter, which will air on National Geographic and will also be available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu.

Also premiering today is the HBO documentary series Chimp Crazy directed by Eric Goode and executive produced by Jeremy McBride, Goode, Nancy Abraham, Lisa Heller & Tina Nguyen about the secretive world of raising chimpanzees and and the colorful and complicated cast of characters that inhabit it. Jonathan Sadoff (The Peanut Butter Falcon,  Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, Ingrid Goes West, Dollface, Angelyne, Under the Boardwalk) has composed the show’s original music. Expanded ‘Fear Street’ Trilogy Soundtrack Album Announced

Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack release for Netflix’s Fear Street trilogy based on R.L. Stine’s book series of the same title and directed by Leigh Janiak. The 5-CD set features the expanded original scores from all three installments, including Fear Street: Part 1 – 1994 composed by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Scream, A Quiet Place, Logan, The Hurt Locker, I, Robot, Hellboy, The Wolverine) & Marcus Trumpp (Love and Monsters, Plane, The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death, Little Evil), Fear Street: Part 2 – 1978 composed by Beltrami &  Brandon Roberts (Thanksgiving, Chaos Walking, Motherland: Fort Salem, Underwater) and Fear Street: Part 3 – 1666 composed by Beltrami, Anna Drubich (Barbarian, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Werewolves Within) & Trumpp, including previously unreleased music. Marco Beltrami Scoring John Woo’s ‘The Killer’ Remake

This past week, Marco Beltrami (Logan, Scream, 3:10 to Yuma, A Quiet Place, Ford v. Ferrari, The Hurt Locker, The Wolverine) has been recording his score for the upcoming action thriller The Killer. The film is directed by John Woo (Face/Off, Mission: Impossible 2) and stars Omar Sy, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sam Worthington, Saïd Taghmaoui and Diana Silvers. The movie is being described as a reimagining of Woo’s Hong Kong 1989 classic of the same title. No plot details have been revealed yet.

Premiering in the U.S. this Tuesday, March 12 is the British TV series Boat Story created by Harry & Jack Williams and starring Daisy Haggard, Paterson Joseph, Craig Fairbrass, Joanna Scanlan, Ethan Lawrence, Jonas Armstrong, Michele Austin and Tcheky Karyo. The show’s original music is composed by Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, The Tourist, Primeval, The Widow, Ripper Street, Requiem, Baptiste, No Escape). Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this year. Check out our soundtrack announcement for the full album details and to learn more about the drama, which premiered in the UK last fall on BBC One and is making its U.S. debut on Amazon Freevee.

Premiering on Wednesday, March 13, is the Paramount+ original movie Little Wing directed by Dean Israelite and starring Brian Cox, Kelly Reilly, Che Tafari and Brooklynn Prince. Anne Nikitin (The Dropout, American Animals, Dangerous Liaisons, Fate: The Winx Saga, One Day, The Pale Horse, Mrs. Wilson) has composed the film’s original music. Marco Beltrami & Miles Hankins Scoring Peacock’s ‘Apples Never Fall’

Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Logan, A Quiet Place, Scream, World War Z, Ford v. Ferrari) & Miles Hankins (The Night Before, Being Serena, Long Shot, Len & Company, No Exit) have teamed up to score the upcoming Peacock limited series Apples Never Fall. The show is developed by Melanie Marnich (A Murder at the End of the World) based on the bestselling novel of the same title by Liane Moriarty and stars Annette Bening, Sam Neill, Jake Lacy, Alison Brie, Essie Randles, Conor Merrigan-Turner, Georgia Flood, Dylan Thuraisingham and Jeanine Serralles. The 7-part drama follows two former tennis coaches who have sold their successful tennis academy and are ready to start spending more time with their four adult children, when a wounded young woman knocks on their door, bringing the excitement they’ve been missing.

Soundtrack Album for John Woo’s ‘Silent Night’ Released

La-La Land Records has released a soundtrack album for the action thriller Silent Night. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Logan, A Quiet Place, Ford v. Ferrari, The Hurt Locker, Scream, World War Z, The Nun II). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. A CD version will be coming out later this month. Silent Night is directed by John Woo and stars Joel Kinnaman, Scott Mescudi, Harold Torres and Catalina Sandino Moreno. The movie follows a tormented father who loses his voice while witnessing his young son die in a gang’s crossfire on Christmas Eve and embarks on a punishing training regimen in order to avenge his son’s death.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the action thriller Silent Night directed by John Woo and starring Joel Kinnaman, Scott Mescudi, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Harold Torres. The film’s original music is composed by Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma,  Logan, A Quiet Place, Scream, The Hurt Locker, Ford v. Ferrari, The Wolverine). La-La Land Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score later this month. Also opening wide is the Japanese Japanese monster movie Godzilla Minus One written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki and starring Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe, Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Sakura Ando, Kuranosuke Sasaki and Hidetaka Yoshioka.  Naoki Sato (Rurouni Kenshin, Pretty Cure, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Masquerade Night) has composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last month when the movie opened in Japan. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror movie The Nun II directed by Michael Chaves and starring Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Bloquet, Storm Reid, Bonnie Aarons and Anna Popplewell. The film’s original music is composed by Marco Beltrami (A Quiet Place, 3:10 to Yuma, Scream, Logan, Ford v. Ferrari). Also opening wide is the comedy My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 written and directed by Nia Vardalos and starring Vardalos and John Corbett. ‘The Nun II’ Soundtrack Album Details

WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the supernatural horror sequel The Nun II. The album features the film’s original music composed by Acadey Award nominee Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, A Quiet Place, Scream, Ford v. Ferrari, Logan, The Hurt Locker). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 1 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Nun II is directed by Michael Chaves and stars Taissa Farmiga (who returns as Sister Irene), Jonas Bloquet, Storm Reid, Anna Popplewell and Bonnie Aarons. The New Line Cinema production is set in 1956, France as a priest is murdered and evil is spreading and follows Irene as she once again comes face-to-face with the demon nun Valak.

The sequel to 2018’s The Nun (directed by Corin Hardy and scored by Abel Korzeniowski) is directed by Michael Chaves (The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, The Curse of La Llarona) and stars Taissa Farmiga, Storm Reid, Anna Popplewell, Jonas Bloquet and Katelyn Rose Downey. No plot details have been announced yet.
