The full details of the fourth soundtrack album for Marvel Studios’ Disney+ animated series What If…? have been revealed. The album features the original score from the fourth episode (What If… Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead of His Hands?) of the show composed by Laura Karpman (Lovecraft Country, Why We Hate, Underground, Set It Up, Black Nativity, Paris Can Wait). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, September 3 by Marvel Music & Hollywood Records (click here to stream/download). The composer’s scores from Episode 1, Episode 2 and Episode 3 have been released last month and more soundtracks will be coming out over the next couple of weeks. Episode 4 of What If…? is written by A.C. Bradley, directed by Bryan Andrews and explores what would happen if the events of 2016’s Doctor Strange feature occurred differently, with Christine Palmer dying rather than Stephen Strange losing the use of his hands.

Episode 3 of What If…? is written by A.C. Bradley & Matthew Chauncey, directed by Bryan Andrews and explores what would happen if Nick Fury’s campaign to recruit the Avengers (as depicted in the comic Fury’s Big Week) went wrong.

The soundtrack will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms (including Amazon) tomorrow, August 13. What If…? is developed by A.C. Bradley, directed by Bryan Andrews and reimagines famous events from Marvel’s feature films in unexpected ways, focussing on different heroes from the MCU.

Premiering on Tuesday, August 3, is the documentary Pray Away directed by Kristine Stolakis and executive produced by Ryan Murphy. The film’s original music is composed by Laura Karpman (Lovecraft Country, What If…?, Underground, Paris Can Wait, Set It Up, Step, Black Nativity) & Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum (Bird Karma, Stockholm, Pennsylvania, Regarding Susan Sontag, Don’t Look Deeper, Half the Picture). The movie, which follows a group of ex-leaders and a survivor of the so-called “conversion therapy” movement as they speak out about its harm to the LGBTQ+ community and its devastating persistence, premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Premiering in the U.S. on Thursday, August 5 is the French horror comedy Teddy written and directed by Ludovic & Zoran Boukherma and starring Anthony Bajon, Noémie Lvovsky and Christine Gautier. Amaury Chabauty (Vendeur) has composed the film’s original music. 22D Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score in June when the movie opened in French theaters. MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the romantic comedy Senior Moment. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 26 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Senior Moment is directed by Giorgio Serafini and stars William Shatner, Jean Smart, Christopher Lloyd, Esai Morales and Katrina Bowden. The movie follows a retired NASA test pilot who is forced to take public transportation after drag racing his vintage convertible around Palm Springs and losing his license, when he meets a winab and learns to navigate love and life again.
