Joseph Bishara is returning as the composer for the upcoming horror sequel Annabelle Comes Home. The film marks the directorial debut of Gary Dauberman (It, The Nun) who scripted the previous two Annabelle movies and stars McKenna Grace, Madison Iseman, Katie Sarife, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. The third installment in the Annabelle series follows the daughter of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warre (from The Conjuring franchise) who is targeted alongside her two teen babysitters by the demonic doll after they bring it home into their artifact room.

Weekly Film Music Roundup (February 8, 2019)
Opening in most theaters is the animated sequel The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part directed by Mike Mitchell and starring Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett and Tiffany Haddish. The film’s original score is composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, 21/22 Jump Street, The Royal Tenenbaums). ‘The Prodigy’ Soundtrack Details
Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the horror thriller The Prodigy. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, Insidious, Annabelle). The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 8 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Prodigy is directed by Nicholas McCarthy and stars Taylor Schilling, Jackson Robert Scott, Peter Mooney and Colm Feore. The movie follows a mother whose young son’s disturbing behavior signals that an evil, possibly supernatural force has overtaken him and must grapple with her maternal instinct to love and protect Miles in favor of investigating what – or who – is causing his dark turn.
‘More Music from the Further’ Album Announced
Void Recordings has announced a new soundtrack album for the first three movies in the Insidious series. The album features 27 previously unreleased and developmental score pieces from the first three movies in the supernatural horror series composed by Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, Annabelle). More Music from the Further will be released digitally and as a vinyl edition on August 17, 2018 and will be available to order on Amazon within the next few days. The label has previously released soundtrack albums for the original Insidious movie, as well as Chapter 2 and Chapter 3. The Insidious series is created by Leigh Whannell and directed (parts 1 & 2)/produced by James Wan.
Joseph Bishara to Score Nicholas McCarthy’s ‘The Prodigy’
Joseph Bishara has been hired to score the upcoming supernatural horror thriller The Prodigy. The film is directed by Nicholas McCarthy (The Pact, At the Devil’s Door) and stars Taylor Schilling, Jackson Robert Scott, Peter Mooney, Colm Feore and Brittany Allen. The movie follows a mother who is concerned about her young son’s disturbing behavior and starts to think that something supernatural may be affecting him. Jeff Buhler (The Midnight Meat Train) wrote the screenplay.
‘The Worthy’ Soundtrack Announced
Void Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the post-apocalyptic thriller The Worthy. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, Insidious, Annabelle, Dark Skies, The Other Side of the Door). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, February 23 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. The Worthy is directed by Ali F. Mostafa and stars Ali Suliman, Mahmoud Al Atrash and Samer al Masri. The movie is set in the near future and follows a man who puts his family in peril when he reluctantly lets outsiders into his compound.
Joseph Bishara to Score ‘The Children’
Joseph Bishara revealed in a recent interview with Dread Central that he is set to compose the music for the upcoming horror thriller The Children. The film is directed by Michael Chaves and stars Linda Cardellini, Sean Patrick Thomas and Patricia Velasquez. The movie follows a social worker who, while investigating the mysterious disappearance of two children, discovers her own family might also be in jeopardy. Mikki Daughtry & Tobias Iaconis wrote the screenplay. James Wan (Saw, Furious 7) is producing the New Line Cinema production with Gary Dauberman (screenwriter of It and Annabelle) and Emile Gladstone (Army of One).

The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is the horror thriller Insidious: The Last Key directed by Adam Robitel, written by Leigh Whannell, produced by Jason Blum and starring Lin Shaye, Angus Sampson, Leigh Whannell, Josh Stewart, Caitlin Gerard, Kirk Acevedo, Javier Botet, Bruce Davison, Spencer Locke and Tessa Ferrer. The film’s original music is composed by Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, Annabelle, Dark Skies) who previously scored the first three installments in the series. Opening in limited release is the horror movie Day of the Dead: Bloodline directed by Hèctor Hernández Vicens and starring Johnathon Schaech, Sophie Skelton, Marcus Vanco and Jeff Gum. Frederik Wiedmann (Field of Lost Shoes, Dying of the Light, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Hangman) has composed the film’s original music. No word yet on a soundtrack release. The movie, which is set in a post-apocalyptic, zombie-filled world where a former med school student is tormented by a dark figure from her past, is being released in theaters and on VOD by Saban Films.
