Joseph Bishara has been hired to score the upcoming supernatural horror thriller The Prodigy. The film is directed by Nicholas McCarthy (The Pact, At the Devil’s Door) and stars Taylor Schilling, Jackson Robert Scott, Peter Mooney, Colm Feore and Brittany Allen. The movie follows a mother who is concerned about her young son’s disturbing behavior and starts to think that something supernatural may be affecting him. Jeff Buhler (The Midnight Meat Train) wrote the screenplay. Tripp Vinson (The Exorcism Of Emily Rose, The Rite) is producing the project. The Prodigy is set to be released on February 8, 2019 by Orion Pictures.
Bishara (The Conjuring, Annabelle, Insidious) also has the James Wan-produced horror thriller The Curse of La Llorona (previously entitled The Children) coming up. The movie will be released in theaters nationwide on April 19, 2019 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
