Premiering tonight is the HBO limited series The Sympathizer developed by Park Chan-wook & Don McKellar based on the book of the same name by Viet Thanh Nguyen and starring Hoa Xuande, Robert Downey Jr., Fred Nguyen Khan, Vy Le, Toan Le, Ky Duyen, Phanxine, Kieu Chinh, Duy Nguyen, Alan Trong and Sandra Oh. Cho Young-wuk (Oldboy, Lady Vengeance, The Little Drummer Girl, The Handmaiden, Decision to Leave, Thirst) has composed the show’s original music. Premiering on Wednesday, April 17, is the Hulu limited series Under the Bridge developed by Quinn Shephard based on the true-crime book of the same title by Rebecca Godfrey and starring Riley Keough, Lily Gladstone, Vritika Gupta, Izzy G., Chloe Guidry, Javon “Wanna” Walton, Ezra Faroque Khan, Aiyana Goodfellow and Archie Panjabi. The show’s original music is composed by Alex Somers (Captain Fantastic, Honey Boy, Causeway,  Fresh, Aloha, Together, Together, Charm City Kings, Dawson City: Frozen Time). ‘Coppola, the Agent’ Soundtrack Album Released

Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album for the Star+ original series Coppola, the Agent (Coppola: El Representante). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Sergei Grosny (Intertwined, Ringo: Glory and Death, FreeKs, The Roar of the Butterflies). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composer’s title track after the jump. Coppola, the Agent is created by Mariano Cohn & Gastón Duprat and stars Juan Minujín, Mónica Antonopulos, Mayte Rodríguez, Alan Sabbagh and Joaquín Ferreira. The drama tells the story of Guillermo Coppola, a famous “bon vivant”, and his struggles juggling a hectic private life with the demands of being the agent of celebrated soccer player Diego Armando Maradona.

‘Spermworld’ Soundtrack Album Released

Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album for the FX original documentary Spermworld. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ari Balouzian (Some Kind of Heaven, They Call Us Monsters, The Giant). Also included is the composer’s cover’s of The The’s This Is the Day (listen to the full track after the jump). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the first score track (Giving Back) below. Spermworld is directed by Lance Oppenheim and inspired by the New York Times article The Sperm Kings Have a Problem: Too Much Demand by Nellie Bowles and centers on the unregulated online marketplace for sperm as donors connect with hopeful parents.

‘Fright Krewe’ Soundtrack Album Released

Hollywood Records has released the first track from the soundtrack for the Hulu limited series We Were the Lucky Ones. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is the main theme composed by Academy Award winner Rachel Portman (Emma, Chocolat, The Cider House Rules, The Manchurian Candidate, A Dog’s Purpose, Never Let Me Go). The show is developed by Quinn Shephard (Not Okay, Blame) based on the best-selling true-crime book of the same title by Rebecca Godfrey and stars Riley Keough, Lily Gladstone, Vritika Gupta, Chloe Guidry, Izzy G., Javon “Wanna” Walton, Aiyana Goodfellow, Ezra Faroque Khan and Archie Panjabi. The 8-part drama tells the 1997 true story of a fourteen-year old teenager who went to join friends at a party and never returned home.

Premiering on Tuesday, March 26, is the HBO original documentary The Truth vs. Alex Jones directed by Dan Reed and executive produced by Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller. The film’s original music is composed by David Schweitzer (Emma, Our Great National Parks, The Afterparty, Sanditon, Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King, The Reluctant Traveler). The movie, which tells  the story of how families whose children were murdered at Sandy Hook took on conspiracy giant Alex Jones in two courtroom trials, holding Jones and InfoWars to account for the myths they started spreading hours after the atrocity, premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival and will premiere on HBO and will also be available to stream on Max.

Premiering on Thursday, March 28, is the Swedish Netflix original series Ronja the Robber’s Daughter (Ronja Rövardotter) written by Hans Rosenfeldt based on Astrid Lindgren’s fantasy tale and starring Kerstin Linden, Jack Bergenholtz-Henriksson, Krista Kosonen, Christopher Wagelin, Maria Nohra, Sverrir Gudnason, Pernilla August, Johan Ulveson and Vera Vitali. Johan Söderqvist (Let the Right One In, Kon-Tiki, Madame Web, Anatomy of a Scandal, Battlefield V, After the Wedding, In a Better World)  has composed the show’s original music. Portman has also contributed the main title theme to the show developed by Erica Lipez (Julia) based on Georgia Hunter’s New York Times bestselling novel of the same title and starring Joey King, Logan Lerman, Hadas Yaron, Amit Rahav, Henry-Lloyd Hughes, Sam Woolf, Moran Rosenblatt, Michael Aloni, Eva Feiler, Lior Ashkenazi and Robin Weigert. The 8-part drama tells the true story of a Jewish family who is determined to survive and reunite after being separated in World War II.

National Geographic’s ‘Photographer’ to Feature Music by Bryce Dessner, Robert Ouyang Rusli & Others

The full composer line-up of the new National Geographic documentary series Photographer has been revealed. The show pairs the world’s most extraordinary visual storytellers with today’s leading documentary filmmakers, with each episode focusing on the story of an iconic photographer. The National’s Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, Cyrano, Bardo, Manhunt, She Came to Me) has composed the score for the episodes Paul Nicklen & Cristina Mittermeier: Win or Die directed by E. Chai Vasarhelyi & Jimmy Chin about two of the world’s most iconic working ocean photographers, and Dan Winters: Life is once. Forever. directed by Pagan Harleman about the photographer who is widely known for his unusual and iconic portraits of celebrities, street photography, scientific work, illustrations and capturing the “hallowed grounds” of NASA. Robert Ouyang Rusli (Problemista, Test Pattern, Bruiser) has scored the episode Campbell Addy: Feeling Seen directed by Crystal Kayiza & Sam Pollard about the fashion photographer who landed on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list.

‘The Greatest Hits’ Soundtrack Album Details

Hollywood Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for Ned Benson’s romantic drama The Greatest Hits. The album features the original song Never Lost co-written (with the film’s composer Ryan Lott) and performed by Nelly Furtado, as well as tracks by Roxy Music, Beach House, NEIL FRANCES, Tune-Yards, Peggy Lee & others. Also included are selections of the movie’s original score composed by Lott (Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby). The soundtrack will be released as a 2-LP color vinyl album on April 12. Visit Amazon to pre-order the album. The label will also release a separate soundtrack featuring Ned Benson’s original score (click here for the full details). The Greatest Hits is written and directed by Benson (who also serves as the executive soundtrack album producer) and stars Lucy Boynton, David Corenswet, Justin H. Min and Austin Crute.
