The full details of the score album for Todd Phillips’ psychological thriller Joker: Folie à Deux have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hildur Guðnadóttir (Chernobyl, Women Talking, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Tar, Mary Magdalene) who received her first Academy Award for 2019’s original Joker movie. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, September 27 by WaterTower Music and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (There Is No Joker) has already been released as a digital single earlier this month. Interscope Records will release a separate soundtrack featuring Lady Gaga’s songs next Friday, October 4 and a companion album by Gaga this Friday. Joker: Folie à Deux is co-written and directed by Phillips and stars Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga, Catherine Keener, Brendan Gleeson and Zazie Beetz.

Hildur Guđnadóttir (Joker, Chernobyl, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Tar) is attached to score the upcoming drama Hedda Gabler. The film is written and directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman, The Marvels) and will star Tessa Thompson in the title role. The movie is based on Henrik Ibsen’s famed 1891 stage play and follows the titular character as she navigates a house she does not want, a marriage she feels trapped in and an ex-lover who has reappeared in her life.

Kenneth Branagh announced today that Hildur Guđnadóttir (Joker, Chernobyl, Women Talking, Tar, Sicario: Day of the Soldado) will compose the original score for the upcoming supernatural mystery thriller A Haunting in Venice. The follow-up to Murder on the Orient Express & Death on the Nile (scored by Patrick Doyle) is directed by Branagh and stars the filmmaker himself, Kyle Allen, Michelle Yeoh, Camille Cottin, Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Kelly Reilly, Emma Laird and Riccardo Scamarcio. The movie is set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve and follows Hercule Poirot as he reluctantly attends a séance, when one of the guests is murdered.

Hildur Guðnadóttir is returning to score the upcoming psychological thriller Joker: Folie à Deux. The sequel to the 2019 Joker film, for which the composer received her first Academy Award, is directed by Todd Phillips and stars Joaquin Phoenix in the title role, Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn and Zazie Beetz who reprises her role of Sophie Dumond. They are joined by new cast members Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland and Harry Lawtey. No plot details have been announced yet.

Mercury Classics Soundtrack & Score will release the official soundtrack album for the drama Women Talking. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Hildur Guðnadóttir (Joker, Chernobyl, Tár, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Mary Magdalene). Women Talking is written and directed by Sarah Polley and stars Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Judith Ivey, Ben Whishaw and Frances McDormand. The movie is based on the best-selling novel by Miriam Toews and follows a group of women in an isolated religious colony as they struggle to reconcile their faith with a series of sexual assaults committed by the colony’s men.

The details of the concept album/soundtrack for Todd Field’s psychological drama Tár have been revealed. The album features music from and inspired by the movie, including new tracks by the film’s composer Hildur Guðnadóttir (Joker, Chernobyl, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Women Talking), as well as extracts from major works by Elgar and Mahler. The concept album, which complements the film by presenting completed, real-life versions of the music on which the fictional protagonist is working, will be released digitally and physically this Friday, October 21 by Deutsche Grammophon.
