Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the musical comedy Mean Girls directed by Samantha Jayne & Arturo Perez Jr. and starring Angourie Rice, Auli’i Cravalho, Reneé Rapp, Avantika, Jaquel Spivey, Jenna Fischer, Bebe Wood. Christopher Briney, Busy Philipps, Tim Meadows and Tina Fey. The film’s original score is composed by Jeff Richmond (30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Baby Mama, Girls5eva). Interscope Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie written by Richmond & Nell Benjamin today. Also opening wide is the biblical comedy drama The Book of Clarence directed by Jeymes Samuel (The Harder They Fall) and starring LaKeith Stanfield, Anna Diop, Omar Sy, David Oyelowo, Micheal Ward, RJ Cyler, Teyana Taylor, James McAvoy, Alfre Woodard, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Benedict Cumberbatch. Jeymes has also composed the film’s original music. Roc Nation Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie and Milan Records has released a separate album featuring Samuel’s score today. ‘Lift’ Soundtrack Album Details

Netflix Music will release the official soundtrack album for the streamer’s original film Lift. The album features the movie’s original music composed by Dominic Lewis (Bullet Train, The King’s Man, The Man in the High Castle, Peter Rabbit, Violent Night, Money Monster) and Guillaume Roussel (3 Days to Kill, Black Beauty, The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan & Milday, Expend4bles, Happy!). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, January 12. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the album and check out the composers’ opening and title tracks below. Lift is directed by F. Gary Gray and stars Kevin Hart, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D’Onofrio, Sam Worthington, Úrsula Corberó, Billy Magnussen, Jacob Batalon and Jean Reno.

‘The Three Musketeers – Part II: Milady’ Soundtrack Released

Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the French adventure drama The Three Musketeers – Part II: Milady (Les trois mousquetaires: Milady). The album features the film’s original music composed by Guillaume Roussel (Black Beauty, The Spy, Expend4bles, Happy!, 3 Days to Kill, November, The Man with the Iron Heart). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. A CD version will be released overseas this Friday, December 15. Listen to the composer’s first two tracks (Vers la Rochelle & Milady et d’Artagnan) after the jump. The label has previously released Roussel’s music from the first part (D’Artagnan) earlier this year. The Three Musketeers: Part II – Milady is directed by Martin Bourboulon and stars François Civil, Vincent Cassel, Romain Duris, Pio Marmaï and Eva Green.

Opening in theaters nationwide is the animated feature The Boy and the Heron written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and starring (in its English language version) Christian Bale, Robert Pattinson, Willem Dafoe, Dave Bautista, Gemma Chan, Mark Hamill, Florence Pugh, Karen Fukuhara and Luca Padovan. The film’s original music is composed by Joe Hisaishi (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, Howl’s Moving Castle). Studio Ghibli has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score (click here for the full album details). Available separately from Milan Records is the original song Spinning Globe by Kenshi Yonezu (click here to listen to the track and to learn more about the movie).

Opening in select theaters today before expanding nationwide in the coming weeks is the fantasy comedy Poor Things directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and starring Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, Christopher Abbott and Jerrod Carmichae. Jerskin Fendrix has composed the film’s original music and made his scoring debut on the project. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Dominic Lewis (Bullet Train, Peter Rabbit, The King’s Man, The Man in the High Castle, Money Monster, Violent Night) has teamed up with Guillaume Roussel (3 Days to Kill, The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan, Black Beauty, The Spy, Happy!) to compose the music for the upcoming Netflix original film Lift. The movie is directed by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton, The Fate of the Furious) and stars Kevin Hart, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D’Onofrio, Billy Magnussen, Úrsula Corberó, Viveik Kalra, Yun Jee Kim and Sam Worthington. The heist comedy follows an international heist crew who race to lift $500 million in gold from a passenger plane at 40,000 feet.

The film’s original music is composed by Guillaume Roussel (Black Beauty, 3 Days to Kill, Happy!, The Spy, The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan). Also opening wide is the supernatural horror movie It Lives Inside co-written and directed by Bishal Dutta and starring Megan Suri, Neeru Bajwa, Betty Gabriel, Mohana Krishnan and Vik Sahay. Wesley Hughes (The Stay, ReBroken) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which follows an Indian-American teen who unleashes an ancient Indian demonic force that kidnaps her estranged friend, premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival and is being released by Neon.
