Walt Disney Records has released a new digital single featuring the cover version of Kelly Clarkson’s Stronger performed by Dove Cameron & China Anne McClain from Disney Channel’s Under the Sea: A Descendants Short Story. Under the Sea: A Descendants Short Story is set between Disney’s Descendants 2 and Descendants 3 and stars Cameron, McClain, as well as Thomas Doherty and Dylan Playfair. The TV special, which follows Mal and Uma as they face off off in an epic underwater showdown, is premiering tonight on the Disney Channel.

The full details of the soundtrack album for the Disney Channel original movie Freaky Friday have been revealed. The album features the songs from the movie originally written for the Freaky Friday stage adaptation by Tom Kitt & Brian Yorkey and performed by the film’s cast, as well as At Last It’s Me, an original pop song performed by Cozi Zuehlsdorff. Jim Dooley to Score Disney Channel’s ‘Kim Possible’ Live-Action Movie
Jim Dooley has been hired to score Disney Channel’s upcoming Kim Possible live-action movie adaptation. The film is directed by Adam B. Stein & Zach Lipovsky and stars Sadie Stanley in the title role, alongside Sean Giambrone, Alyson Hannigan, Todd Stashwick, Taylor Ortega, Connie Ray, Ciara Wilson, Erika Tham and Issac Ryan Brown. The comedy based on the animated hit TV show follows the title character, a typical high school girl who saves the world from evil villains with the help of her sidekick Ron Stoppable, his naked mole-rat Rufus, and computer genius Wade.
David Lawrence Scoring Disney Channel’s ‘Freaky Friday’
David Lawrence (American Pie, High School Musical, Descendants) has composed the original score for the upcoming Disney Channel original movie Freaky Friday. The film is directed by Steve Carr (Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Daddy Day Care) and stars Cozi Zuehlsdorff, Heidi Blickenstaff, Alex Désert, Jason Maybaum, Kahyun Kim, Dara Reneé, Jennifer Laporte, Isaiah Lehtinen and Sarah Willey. The comedy is based on the Disney Theatrical Production stage adaptation of the novel by Mary Rodgers about a mother and daughter who spend a day in each other’s shoes.

The album features the songs from the film performed by the movie musical’s cast including Meg Donnelly, Milo Manheim, Trevor Tordjman and Kylee Russell. Walt Disney Records has announced the first full soundtrack album for Disney’s Tangled: The Series. The album features the songs from the show composed by Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Enchanted) and featuring lyrics by Glenn Slater (Galavant), including previously unreleased Set Yourself Free and Ready As I’ll Ever Be from the first season finale premiering this weekend. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 19, 2018. and will be available to download on Amazon. The label has previously released a soundtrack EP featuring four songs from the show, as well as the end credits song More of Me by Natasha Bedingfield.
George S. Clinton Scoring Disney Channel’s ‘Zombies’
George S. Clinton (Austin Powers series, Mortal Kombat, The Santa Clause 2) is composing the original score for the upcoming Disney Channel original movie Zombies. The film is directed by Jeffrey Hornaday (Teen Beach Movie, Shout) and stars Meg Donnelly, Milo Manheim, Trevor Tordjman, Kylee Russell and Carla Jeffery. The movie musical follows a semester at Seabrook High School in a suburban town whose students must learn to coexist with new transfer students from Zombietown. David Light & Joseph Raso (Seed) and Josh Cagan (The DUFF, Bandslam) wrote the screenplay based on a story by Light & Raso.
‘Tangled: The Series’ Soundtrack EP to Be Released
Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack EP for Disney’s Tangled: The Series. The EP features four original songs from the show written by Academy Award winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Enchanted) and featuring lyrics by Glenn Slater (Galavant), including the tracks Let Me Make You Proud performed by Jeremy Jordan (as Varian) and I’ve Got This by Mandy Moore (as Rapunzel) from tonight’s episode Queen for a Day. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 20 and will be available to download on Amazon. Tangled: The Series is developed by Shane Prigmore & Chris Sonnenburg based on Disney’s 2010 feature Tangled and features the voices of Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, Julie Bowen, Clancey Brown, Eden Espinosa, Jeff Ross, Richard Kind, Jeffrey Tambor and Paul F.
