David Arnold (Casino Royale, Independence Day, Stargate) has been tapped to score the upcoming Amazon original series Good Omens. The show is based on the 1990 book by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman (American Gods) and stars Michael Sheen as the angel Aziraphale trying to prevent the Apocalypse and David Tennant as the demon Crowley. Jon Hamm, Miranda Richardson, Nick Offerman, Adria Arjona, Nina Sosanya, Jack Whitehall, Michael McKean, Ned Dennehy, Ariyon Bakare, Mireille Enos, Anna Maxwell Martin, Lourdes Faberes and Yusuf Gatewood are co-starring in the 6-part series.

Expanded ‘Titanic’ & ‘Die Another Day’ Soundtracks Announced
La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for James Cameron’s 1997 classic Titanic starring Leonardo Di Caprio & Kate Winslet. The 4-CD set features the remastered and expanded original score, including previously unreleased music and alternate cues, from the movie composed by James Horner (Braveheart, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Aliens) who received two Academy Awards for work on the drama. The 20th Anniversary Edition is limited to 5000 copies and will be available to order on the label’s website this coming Tuesday. ‘Sherlock – The Abominable Bride’ Soundrack Set for Digital Release
Silva Screen Records has announced a digital release for the soundtrack album for the Sherlock episode The Abominable Bride. The album features the music from the feature-length episode composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Stargate, Tomorrow Never Dies) & Michael Price (The Inbetweeners 2, Unforgotten). The soundtrack, which is set to be released digitally on March 31, was previously available as an online-order exclusive bonus CD with the release of the Sherlock Season 4 soundtrack. ‘Sherlock’ Season 4 Soundtrack Details
The full details of the latest soundtrack album for the BBC original series Sherlock have been announced. The album features the original music from the show’s fourth season composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Stargate, Shaft, Tomorrow Never Dies) and Michael Price (The Inbetweeners 2). Included is the music from all three episodes, The Six Thatchers and The Lying Detective, which has already been released digitally, as well as the score from The Final Problem, which is being released digitally today and is now available to download on Amazon. The soundtrack will be released this Friday, January 27 by Silva Screen Records and is now available as an import here.

Silva Screen Records will release new soundtrack albums for the BBC hit series Sherlock. The albums feature the original music from the fourth season episodes The Six Thatchers and The Lying Detective composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Stargate, Tomorrow Never Dies) and Michael Price (The Inbetweeners 2). The soundtrack for The Six Thatchers will be released digitally on January 2, 2017 (click here to download) and the score for The Lying Detective episode will be coming out on January 9 (visit iTunes to pre-order). An album for the third new episode, The Final Problem, will be released on December 16. The label has previously released soundtracks for the first three seasons and will also release a CD featuring the music from the fourth season in late January. Michael Price has joined composer David Arnold to co-score the upcoming action adventure series Jekyll & Hyde. The show is created by Charlie Higson and stars Tom Bateman, Richard E. Grant, Natalie Gumed, Stephanie Hyam, Donald Sumpter, Amit Shah, Phil McKee, Christian McKay and Ruby Bentall. The 10-part series is inspired by The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson and follows Robert Jekyll, the grandson of the original doctor on his quest to discover his real identity and the true nature of his family’s cursed history.

David Arnold’s ‘Shaft’ Score to Be Released
La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere official release of the score for the 2000 action thriller Shaft directed by John Singleton and starring Samuel L. Jackson, Vanessa Williams and Christian Bale. The album features the film’s original music composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Stargate, Casino Royale, Tomorrow Never Dies) who later reteamed with Singleton to score 2 Fast 2 Furious, Baby Boy and Four Brothers. The composer also incorporated the Academy Award-winning classic theme from the 70s films by Isaac Hayes into his score. Also included are a number of cues that were not used in the final version of the film.
Alan Silvestri, David Arnold & Michael Price Win Emmy Awards
The Creative Arts Emmy Awards were handed out this afternoon at the NOKIA Theatre LA LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles. Alan Silvestri won his first two Emmy Awards for both his score and his main titles theme music from Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey. David Arnold and Michael Price were honored with their first Emmy for their work on the Sherlock episode His Last Vow after being nominated twice before for their work on the series in previous years. In the Outstanding Music & Lyrics category, Tom Kitt and Lin-Manuel Miranda received an Emmy for the song Bigger!, which was written for the 67 Tony Awards ceremony. Don Was was honored in the Outstanding Music Direction category for his work on The Beatles: The Night That Changed America.

La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 2004 comedy The Stepford Wives directed by Frank Oz and starring Nicole Kidman, Matthew Broderick and Bette Midler. The album features the film’s original music composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Stargate), including a number of alternate cues and music not used in the film.
