Silva Screen Records to Release Soundtrack Album for BBC/Netflix Series ‘Dracula’
Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC/Netflix series Dracula. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by David Arnold (Casino Royale, Independence Day, Stargate, Tomorrow Never Dies) & Michael Price (Unforgotten, A Fantastic Fear of Everything, Another Me) who previously co-scored all episodes of BBC’s Sherlock. Among the musicians featured on the composers’ score are cello soloists Tim Gill (London Sinfonietta Principal), Caroline Dale (Truly, Madly, Deeply, Hilary and Jackie) and electric cello from Peter Gregson, as well as classical soprano Grace Davidson and jazz singer Sumudu Jayatilak. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 10, 2020 (click here to order) and physically on January 31. The (spoiler-heavy) track list will be revealed after the show premieres in early January.
‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ Soundtrack Details
Sony Masterworks will release a soundtrack album for the animated holiday special The Tiger Who Came to Tea. The album features the film’s original music composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Tomorrow Never Dies, Stargate, Shaft, Sherlock, Good Omens). Also included is the original song Hey Tiger! written by Arnold & Don Black and performed by Robbie Williams. The soundtrack will be released on December 20 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Tiger Who Came to Tea is directed by Robin Shaw and features the voices of David Oyelowo, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tamsin Greig, David Walliams and Paul Whitehouse. The special tells the story of a mysterious tiger who turns up unannounced at young Sophie’s house and invites himself in for afternoon tea.
Expanded ‘Stargate’ Soundtrack Album Announced
La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for Roland Emmerich’s 1994 sci-fi adventure Stargate starring Kurt Russell and James Spader. The 25th Anniversary edition features the expanded and remastered score from the movie composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Sherlock, Tomorrow Never Dies, Shaft), including over 30 minutes of previously unreleased music. David Arnold Scoring Channel 4’s ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’
David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Stargate, Sherlock, Tomorrow Never Dies) has announced that he is composing the music for the upcoming Channel 4 animated holiday special The Tiger Who Came to Tea. The composer also co-wrote the original song Hey Tiger! with Don Black that will be performed by Robbie Williams. The animated short is directed by Robin Shaw (We’re Going on a Bear Hunt) and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, David Oyelowo, Clara Ross, Tamsin Grieg, David Walliams and Paul Whitehouse.

La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1999 James Bond movie The World Is Not Enough directed by Michael Apted and starring Pierce Brosnan, Sophie Marceau, Denise Richards and Robert Carlyle. The album features the remastered and expanded original score from the movie composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Stargate, Sherlock, Casino Royale, Tomorrow Never Dies), including over 30 minutes of previously unreleased music, plus alternate cues. Also included is the title song performed by Garbage and a demo version of the track performed by Arnold himself. David Arnold & Michael Price to Score BBC’s & Netflix’s ‘Dracula’
David Arnold has revealed on Twitter that he is attached to co-score the upcoming BBC and Netflix mini-series Dracula with Michael Price. The show is written and created by Steven Moffat & Mark Gatiss and inspired by Bram Stoker’s classic novel. No casting announcements have been made yet. The 3-parter is set in Transylvania in 1897 and follows the the title character as he is drawing his plans against Victorian London. Moffat (Doctor Who, The Adventures of Tintin) & Gatiss are also executive producing the project with Sue Vertue for Hartswood Films, Ben Irving for BBC and Larry Tanz (Castlevania, Watership Down) for Netflix.
