Alex Belcher (21 Bridges, Citadel, The Contractor, Made in Italy, All Fun and Games) has composed the original music for the upcoming action adventure Matchbox The Movie. The film is directed by Sam Hargrave and stars John Cena, Jessica Biel, Teyonah Parris, Sam Richardson, Arturo Castro, Bill Camp, Corey Stoll, Danai Gurira and Golshifteh Farahani. The movie inspired by the iconic Mattel toys revolves around a group of friends since childhood who have their lives upended when their long-absent former leader, an undercover CIA agent, returns to their small town and unwittingly gets them embroiled in a frantic international pursuit to save the world.

Peanuts Worldwide has released the original song Ice Water from the Apple TV original animated series Camp Snoopy. Premiering on Wednesday, July 22, is the National Geographic event series Pompeii: Out of Time hosted by Tom Hiddleston, directed by Tom Barbor-Might (who also serves as the project’s showrunner and director), Grant Mansfield, Kevin R. Wright, Helen Flint, Alan Eyres and Carolyn Payne. The show’s original music is composed by Aisling Brouwer (The Buccaneers, White Riot, Lioness: The Nicola Adams Story). Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score on July 24. Platoon will release a soundtrack album for the Apple TV original series Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed. The album features selections of the show’s original music written by composer and record producer Wynne Bennett who is known as a featured producer on Janelle Monáe’s Grammy Award-nominatd album and co-writer of the hit PYNK featuring Grimes and a member of the Brooklyn-based band Twin Shadow The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 15 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The film is written and directed by John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein (Game Night, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves) and stars Ryan Reynolds, Kenneth Branagh, Marcin Dorocinski, David Morse and Maria Bakalova. The movie follows a U.S. Navy pilot who is sent on a top-secret mission into Russian territory at the height of the Cold War, when he gets stranded behind enemy lines and discovered by a gruff ex-KGB agent with a penchant for American culture.

‘Silo’ Soundtrack Premiere Vinyl Release Announced
Coda has announced the premiere vinyl soundtrack release for the Apple TV original series Silo created by Graham Yost based on the bestselling trilogy of dystopian novels by Hugh Howey and starring Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Robbins, Common, Steve Zahn, Avi Nash, Harriet Walter and Chinaza Uche,The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Atli Örvarsson (The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Vantage Point, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Defending Jacob, The Edge of Seventeen, Rams, The Eagle). The soundtrack will be released as a 2LP edition, pressed at 45RPM on Blue-in-Green Color-in-Color vinyl and limited to 700 copies, featuring a lenticular cover and liner notes from both the composer and Yost, in late August/early September and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

The album features the original songs from the show’s fifth season written and performed by Orla Gartland.
