Ian Hultquist (Dickinson, Assassination Nation, Rosaline, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Night Teeth, One of Us Is Lying, Good Girls) is scoring the upcoming AMC original series The Walking Dead: Dead City. The show is the first sequel to the original The Walking Dead series (scored by Bear McCreary in its first seasons and co-scored by McCreary & Sam Ewing in later seasons) and stars Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Gaius Charles, Karina Ortiz, Zeljko Ivanek, Jonathan Higginbotham and Mahina Napoleon. The drama follows Maggie & Negan as they are traveling into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan that is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the historical drama series Marie Antoinette created by Deborah Davis and starring Emilia Schüle, Louis Cunningham, James Purefoy, Jasmine Blackborow, Jack Archer, Marthe Keller, Gaia Weiss and Crystal Sheperd. The show’s original music is composed by Guillaume Roussel (Black Beauty, 3 Days to Kill, Happy!, The Spy, November). 22D Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last fall when the series premiered in France. Joe Wong Scoring AMC’s ‘Lucky Hank’
Joe Wong (Russian Doll, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Master of None, The Midnight Gospel, Kenan) has been tapped to score the new AMC original series Lucky Hank. The pilot episode is scored by Wong & Dave Porter (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Disaster Artist) and Wong is composing the music for the other seven episodes of the first season of the show created by Aaron Zelman (Resurrection) & Paul Lieberstein (The Office, Space Force) and starring Bob Odenkirk, Mireille Enos, Diedrich Bader, Olivia Scott Welch, Suzanne Cryer, Sara Amini and Cedric Yarbrough. The dramedy is set at Railton College and revolves around the unlikely chairman of the English department in a badly underfunded college in a working-class American town whose life starts to unravel, while his wife begins to question the path she’s on and the choices she’s made.
Raphael Saadiq Scoring AMC’s ‘Demascus’
Raphael Saadiq (Lovecraft Country, Insecure, Underground, The After Party, Black Nativity) has composed the original score for the AMC original series Demascus. The show is created by Tearrance Chisholm and stars Okieriete Onaodowan, Janet Hubert, Caleb Eberhardt, Martin Lawrence, Shakira Ja’nai Paye, Brittany Adebumola, Sasha Hutchings, Tyrel Jackson Williams, Amos Blackmon. The sci-fi comedy centers on a 33-year-old man on a mission of self-discovery who chooses the burgeoning field of digital psychiatry as his penance.
‘Mayfair Witches’ Soundtrack Album Details
The full details of the soundtrack album for the AMC original series Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches have been revealed. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Will Bates (The Magicians, The Path, Away, I Origins, Unbelievable, The Looming Tower, I, Origins, Bliss) with ethereal vocal stylings by Maiah Manser. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, February 3 by Milan Records and will be available to stream/download here. ‘The Apology’ Soundtrack Album Details
Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for the thriller The Apology. The album features the film’s original music composed by Uèle Lamore (Above Water, Riposte féministe). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, December 16 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Apology is written and directed by Alison Star Locke and stars Anna Gunn, Linus Roache and Janeane Garofalo. The movie follows a recovering alcoholic as she’s preparing to host her family’s Christmas celebration twenty years after the disappearance of her daughter, when her estranged ex-brother-in-law arrives unannounced, bearing nostalgic gifts and a heavy secret.
