Premiering today is the Paramount+ original series 1923 created by Taylor Sheridan and starring Helen Mirren, Harrison Ford, Darren Mann, Michelle Randolph, James Badge Dale, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves and Jerome Flynn. The show’s original music is composed by Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Crazy Rich Asians, Iron Man 3) & Breton Vivian (Yellowstone, 1883, Five Feet Apart). Sony Classical has released a Tyler’s main theme (1923 Opus) this past Friday and a first soundtrack album is expected to be announced soon. Jazz pianist, record producer and composer Robert Glasper (The Photograph, Miles Ahead, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, Bel-Air) has teamed up with Derrick Hodge (The System) to score the new Peacock limited series The Best Man: The Final Chapters. The show is developed by Malcolm D. Lee (Girls Trip, Space Jam: A New Legacy) & Dayna Lynne North (Insecure) based on Lee’s The Best Man feature film franchise (scored by Stanley Clarke) and stars Morris Chestnut, Melissa De Sousa, Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard, Regina Hall, Nia Long, Sanaa Lathan and Harold Perrineau.
