Jazz pianist, record producer and composer Robert Glasper (The PhotographMiles Ahead, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, Bel-Air) has teamed up with Derrick Hodge (The System) to score the new Peacock limited series The Best Man: The Final Chapters. The show is developed by Malcolm D. Lee (Girls Trip, Space Jam: A New Legacy) & Dayna Lynne North (Insecure) based on Lee’s The Best Man feature film franchise (scored by Stanley Clarke) and stars Morris Chestnut, Melissa De Sousa, Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard, Regina Hall, Nia Long, Sanaa Lathan and Harold Perrineau. The romantic dramedy catches up with the characters from the movies as relationships evolve and past grievances resurface in the unpredictable stages of midlife crisis meets midlife renaissance. Lee & North are also producing the Universal Television production with Sean Daniel (The Mummy, The Witcher) and Dominique Telson (The Best of Enemies, Here Today). The Best Man: The Final Chapters will premiere this coming Thursday, December 22 on Peacock.

Glasper & Hodge are also expected to return to co-score the second season of Starz’s Run the World.
