Waxwork Records has announced a soundtrack release for the animated short Bullet Time. The 5-track EP features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Danny Elfman (Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Men in Black, Alice in Wonderland). The soundtrack is being released as a deluxe 7″ vinyl EP and on cassette and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also find out more about the release. A digital version will be released in the coming days and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Bullet Time is written and directed by Eddie Alcazar and stars Eric Bauza, Luis Bordanada, David Firth and Uly. Alan Bergman passed away last night at age 99 at his home in Los Angeles. Together with his late wife Marilyn, the songwriter/lyricist wrote dozens of songs for film and television and won three Academy Awards for the songs The Windmills of Your Mind from Norman Jewison’s The Thomas Crown Affair, The Way We Were from Sydney Pollack’s movie of the same title, as well as the (song) score from 1983’s Yentl. His 16 Oscar nominations also include songs from Tootsie, Sydney Pollack’s Sabrina, Yes, Giorgio, Shirley Valentine, Best Friends, The Happy Ending, The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, Same Time, Next Year and The Promise. Interscope Records & The Null Corporation will release the official soundtrack album for the sci-fi sequel TRON: Ares. The album features the film’s original music composed by the Grammy Award-winning rock band Nine Inch Nails. The release marks the first-ever film score by the pioneering band, although bandmates Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross have previously scored numerous projects, including The Social Network, Soul, Challengers & Watchmen. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 19 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD and vinyl edition is also being released on the same day and will be available to order here within the next few days.
