Premiering in the U.S. today is the Australian comedy The End created by Samantha Strauss and starring Frances O’Connor, Harriet Walter, Noni Hazlehurst, Robyn Nevin, John Waters and Luke Arnold. Contemporary Media Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the British fantasy horror thriller To Tokyo. The album features the film’s original music composed by Trevor Jones (The Dark Crystal, The Last of the Mohicans, Excalibur, Mississippi Burning, Cliffhanger, Labyrinth, Merlin, Dark City). The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 27, 2021 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Opening in theaters nationwide this week is the sports comedy Space Jam: A New Legacy directed by Malcolm D. The film’s original score is composed by Kris Bowers (Green Book, Bridgerton, When They See Us, Mrs. America, Dear White People). Nigerian composer Ré Olunuga (Up North, Coming from Insanity) has signed on to score the upcoming Disney+ original film Greek Freak. The movie is directed by Akin Omotoso (Vaya) and stars Uche Agada, Yetide Badaki and Dayo Okeniyi. The drama is inspired by the true story of NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s life and his family who through faith, determination, and their unbreakable bond, would unite to lift themselves out of a life of poverty as undocumented immigrants living in Greece.
