Walt Disney Records has released the first full soundtrack album for the Disney Junior animated series Spidey and His Amazing Friends. The album features eleven tracks written and performed by Grammy Award-nominated musician Patrick Stump (of the rock band Fall Out Boy) who serves as songwriter and composer on the hit series, including two new original songs (Happy Spidey Birthday & Swing and Smash), as well as four previously unreleased demos written and performed by Stump, plus the track Do the Spidey. Marcus Norris (Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul.) has provided the original score for the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series Lady in the Lake. Grammy Award-nominated music producer Bekon (who scored last year’s Netflix film You People) has composed and produced the live performances of the show created by Alma Har’el (Honey Boy) and starring Natalie Portman, Moses Ingram, Y’lan Noel, Brett Gelman, Noah Jupe, Byron Bowers, Josiah Cross, Mikey Madison and Pruitt Taylor Vince. The 7-part thriller is based on the 2019 novel of the same title by Laura Lippman and follows two women whose lives converge on a fatal collision course after he disappearance of a young girl grips the city of Baltimore on Thanksgiving 1966. Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1971 Italian thriller The Fifth Cord (Giornata nera per l’ariete) co-written and directed by Luigi Bazzoni and starring Franco Nero, Silvia Monti, Edmund Purdon, Princess Ira Von Fürstenberg, Pamela Tiffin and Agostina Belli. The album features the expanded original score from the film composed by Academy Award winner Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Mission, Once Upon a Time in the West, The Untouchables, Cinema Paradiso, The Hateful Eight), including previously unreleased music.
