Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for Pixar Animation Studios’ Disney+ original animated shorts series Dug Days. The album features the original music from the five shorts composed by Andrea Datzman (Alcatraz, Undercovers) and Curtis Green . The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 1 and will be available to stream/download here. Dug Days is written and directed by Bob Peterson and follows the misadventures of Dug, the lovable dog from the Disney/Pixar feature Up (scored by Michael Giacchino whose Academy Award-winning music is referenced in Datzman’s & Green’s score), whose high-tech collar translates his thoughts into speech. Hollywood Records & Marvel Music will release a score album for Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The album features the film’s original score composed by Joel P West (Short Term 12, Just Mercy, Grandma, The Glass Castle). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Wednesday, September 1 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. As previously reported, Interscope Records will release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie by Savage, Rich Brian, Swae Lee, Jhené Aiko, Anderson .Paak, among others on Friday, September 3. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Christian Long & Justin Long and stars Melanie Lynskey, Justin Long himself, Judy Greer, Ryan Phillippe and Luis Guzmán. The movie follows a an aimless, jobless stoner/slacker who stumbles into a gig as a re-enactment tour guide in a historic, antebellum estate.
