Northern Artists Outlet has released a soundtrack album for the German drama The Royal Game (Schachnovelle). The album features the film’s original music composed by Ingo Ludwig Frenzel (Young Goethe in Love, The Physician, The Tunnel, The Last Supper). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music stores), where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. The Royal Game is directed by Philipp Stölzl and stars Oliver Masucci, Albrecht Schuch, Birgit Minichmayr, Andreas Lust, Rolf Lassgård and Samuel Finzi. The movie is based on Stefan Zweig’s novella of the same name and tells the story of a lawyer who recalls on a cruise his prior torture and imprisonment by the Nazis in Vienna. Premiering tomorrow, September 20 is the Fox comedy drama The Big Leap created by Liz Heldens and starring Scott Foley, Simone Recasner, Piper Perabo, Jon Rudnitsky, Ser’Darius Blain, Raymond Cham, Jr., Kevin Daniels, Mallory Jansen, Anna Grace Barlow and Teri Polo. Joe Wong (The Midnight Gospel, Master of None, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Russian Doll) is composing the show’s original score.
