The show is written and adapted by Kelly Jones inspired by the best-selling novel of the same title by Ann Cleeves (Vera, Shetland) and stars Ben Aldridge, Juliet Stevenson, Martin Shaw, Anita Dobson, Neil Morrissey, Dylan Edwards, Pearl Mackie, Sarah Gordy, Amit Shah and Alan Williams. The 4-part crime drama revolves around Detective Inspector Matthew Venn, who has returned to live in a small community in North Devon with his husband, a place he walked away from 20 years ago, after being rejected by his family. Premiering tomorrow, October 25, is the new CW drama 4400 developed by Ariana Jackson based on USA’s TV series The 4400 and starring Brittany Adebumola, Joseph David-Jones, TL Thompson, Ireon Roach, Jaye Ladymore, Khailah Johnson, Derrick A. King, Cory Jeacoma, AMARR and Autumn Best. The show’s original music is composed by Jongnic Bontemps (United Skates, My Name Is Pauli Murray, The LandWe Are: The Brooklyn Saints, College Behind Bars, The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel). Daniel Pemberton was named Film Composer of the Year at the 21st World Soundtrack Awards, tonight’s closing event of the 48th Ghent Film Festival, for his scores for Aaron Sorkins’ The Trial of the Chicago 7, Harry Bradbeer’s Enola Holmes and the documentary Rising Phoenix. He previously received his first World Soundtrack Award in the Discovery of the Year category back in 2014. Carlos Rafael Rivera was honored as TV Composer of the Year today for his score for the Netflix limited series The Queen’s Gambit (for which he recently received his second Emmy Award) and HBO’s Hacks. SATV has released a new soundtrack album for the Sky original drama Britannia. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s third season composed by Neil Davidge (UnleashedPushHalo 4, Earth Moods, Monsters: Dark Continent, Hard SunGood People). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. The label has previously released the composer’s music from the second season while 7Hz Productions has released his score from the first season. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the sci-fi epic Dune directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring starring Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Stellan Skarsgård, Josh Brolin, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista and Javier Bardem. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Inception, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, Interstellar, The Lion King, Blade Runner 2049). Available to stream download now is the Eternals Theme and Across the Oceans of Time written by the film’s composer Ramin Djawadi (Games of Thrones, Westworld, Clash of the Titans, Iron Man, Pacific Rim, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, A Wrinkle in Time).
