Kickout Films has announced the first-ever soundtrack release for the 2017 Italian comedy Let Yourself Go (Lasciati andare). The 6-track EP features the film’s original music composed by Andrea Farri (Io Capitano, Those About to Die, Security, The Hanging Sun, Latin Lover, The First King, Italian Race) . Premiering today is the MGM+ original series Emperor of Ocean Park developed by Sherman Payne based on the novel by Stephen L. Carter and starring Forest Whitaker, Keith Powers, Keith Kupferer, Kelli Simpkins and Deanna Reed-Foster. The show’s original music is composed by Amanda Jones (Moving On, Naomi, Mea Culpa, The Perfect Find, Super/Natural, Young Love, Good Trouble). The drama, which is set in Martha’s Vineyard and follows an esteemed law professor whose quiet life is shattered when his father dies of an apparent heart attack, but his sister, a former journalist and conspiracy theorist, believes that the judge met with foul play, will be available to stream exclusively on MGM+.
Premiering on Thursday, July 18, is the action comedy sequel My Spy: The Eternal City directed by Pete Segal and starring Dave Bautista, Chloe Coleman, Flula Borg, Kristen Schaal, Billy Barratt, Taeho K, Craig Robinson, Anna Faris and Ken Jeong. Sean Segal has composed the film’s original music in his feature scoring debut. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the romantic dramedy Fly Me to the Moon directed by Greg Berlanti and starring Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, Ray Romano, Jim Rash, Woody Harrelson, Anna Garcia, Nick Dillenburg and Colin Woodell. The film’s original music is composed by Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into/Across the Spider-Verse, Steve Jobs, Enola Holmes, Ocean’s 8, The Trial of the Chicago 7, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.). Platoon has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the horror thriller Longlegs written and directed by Osgood Perkins and starring Maika Monroe, Nicolas Cage, Blair Underwood, Alicia Witt and Kiernan Shipka. Marvin Miller (Balloon, Jim Button and the Wild 13, Inside Greenpeace) has signed on to score the upcoming German/Turkish drama Yellow Letters. The film is directed by Ilker Çatak and stars Özgü Namal, Tansu Bicer and Leyla Cabas. The movie follows a famous actress and a professor at the university in Ankara who both lose their jobs and – together with their 13-year old daughter – travel to the professor’s parents in Istanbul, where they have to redefine their way of life. Hasbro has released a soundtrack album for the superhero TV series Power Rangers Dino Fury. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Bert Selen (Raven’s Home, Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, Rules of Engagement, Mystery Girls, Fast Layne). Also included is an extended version of the Dino Fury theme song co-written and performed by the composer (listen to the track after the jump). Republic Records: Kids & Family and pocket.watch have announced a soundtrack album for the family adventure Ryan’s World the Movie: Titan Universe Adventure. The album features the songs from the film, including a cover version of Imagine Dragons’ Thunder by Pentatonix (already available as a digital single now), as well as tracks by Ryan’s World, Qai Qai, MusicClubKids! and Toys and Colors. The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 16 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services.
