Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder directed by Taika Waititi and starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale and Russell Crowe. Michael Giacchino (Up, The Batman, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange, Jurassic World, Lost) has composed the themes and has co-scored the movie with Nami Melumad (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds & Prodigy, An American Pickle). Hollywood Records/Marvel Music have released a soundtrack featuring the composers’ score. Opening in select U.S. theaters is the French drama Both Sides of the Blade (Avec amour et acharnement) co-written and directed by Claire Denis and starring Juliette Binoche, Vincent Lindon, Grégoire Colin, Bulle Ogier, Issa Perica and Mati Diop. The film’s original music composed by Tindersticks (High Life, White Material, Bastards). No word on a soundtrack release.
