Brian Tyler (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Crazy Rich Asians, Iron Man 3, Yellowstone, Thor: The Dark World) is currently recording his score for the upcoming action sequel Fast X. The film is directed by Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk, Clash of the Titans) and stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, Nathalie Emmanuel, John Cena, Jason Statham, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Alan Ritchson, Scott Eastwood, Daniela Melchior and Rita Moreno. The movie follows Dom Toretto and his family as they must confront a terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past who’s fueled by blood revenge. Justin Lin (who helmed five of the previous installments in the series) wrote the screenplay with Zach Dean (The Tomorrow War) and Dan Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans). He is also producing the project with Diesel, Neal H. Moritz (21/22 Jump Street, The Boys), Jeff Kirschenbaum (The Gray Man, Hustle) and Samantha Vincent (xXx: Return of Xander Cage). Tyler is recording (and conducting) his score at Abbey Road Studios in London. The composer has previously scored six of the first nine Fast & Furious movies and also collaborated with Leterrier on 2013’s Now You See Me. Fast X will be released in theaters nationwide on May 19, 2023 by Universal Pictures.

Tyler’s recent feature projects also include Scream VI (co-scored with Sven Faulconer), which is opening in theaters this weekend, and Illumination Entertainment’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which will be released on April 5.
